Country music’s favorite werewolves have joined forces with Jagermeister, in true country rock star status. The family trio and the German alcohol company have worked together to launch a line of merchandise that will be available at all Angel Mary & the Tennessee Werewolves’ live shows. All of the merchandise bears both the AMTW and the Jagermeister logo.

“It’s exciting to be sponsored by such a well-known brand as Jagermeister,” said Christian Wolf, a long-time fan of the liquor. “And it certainly doesn’t hurt that the taste is so great!”

In addition to this pairing, AMTW is currently hard at work on the debut album, expected to hit stores this Spring. Additionally, their release of “Folsom Prison Blues” (produced by John Carter Cash) gained the trio much acclaim, including a spot in Billboard magazine.

When we interviewed Angel Mary & the Tennessee Werewolves earlier this year, they were emphatic about their love for all things Johnny Cash. The band, who was recently featured on Billboard.com, released their video for a rockin’ cover of Cash’s “Folsom Prison Blues,” which was directed by the Man-In-Black’s son, John Carter Cash. The song was also recorded at Cash Cabin and features a guitar solo from Rob Caggiano, formerly of the band Anthrax.

When I spoke to Angel Mary & the Tennessee Werewolves, they were amidst a radio tour in Paris, Texas. They were also in search of the Eiffel Tower wearing a cowboy hat. Believe it or not, shortly after our interview, they Tweeted a pic that they had found it.

Although this may sound silly, it’s a perfect anecdote about this family band, a determined, but fun-loving group determined to make their dreams come true. Whether those dreams involve finding the Texan Eiffel Tower or making great music, they’re well on their way.

The band was raised in Hendersonville, TN and have their musical roots in southern soul and true country grit. Additionally, Kentucky Headhunters frontman and producer, Greg Phelps, is their musical mentor and duet partner on ”Cowboy.”
