The Band Perry Premiering New Single Next Week

The Band Perry.

Republic Nashville’s breakout group The Band Perry will premiere their brand new single “Better Dig Two” through two platforms on Monday.  The single will be digitally delivered to Country radio and stream via rollingstone.com at 2:00P CT. The sibling trio’s latest offering is the first from their highly-anticipated sophomore album, slated for release in early 2013.

Everyone is pretty excited for the new single from the super-trio. Jimmy Harnen, President of Republic Nashville/EVP Big Machine Label Group, shares:

”The Republic Nashville Promotion team has been crisscrossing the United States for the past two weeks playing the song for Country radio programmers and have gotten amazing reviews!”

The tune will be available for purchase at iTunes on Tuesday and the CMA Vocal Group of the Year nominees will debut “Better Dig Two” during the CMA Awards live broadcast on Thursday, beginning at 8:00P EST / 7:00P CST on ABC. Just last year at the awards, they won New Artist of the Year; Single of the Year and Kimberly Perry was honored with Song of the Year, for penning “If I Die Young.”

The band is pumped about their new single and the support they’re getting for it already. They said:

“We are so appreciative of Country radio’s generous welcome and are excited that Rolling Stone is involved in premiering “Better Dig Two!” said Kimberly Perry.

“As we wrap up a great year of touring, we look forward to finishing this new record and delivering it to our fans everywhere,” said Reid Perry.

Neil Perry added, “After spending countless hours in the studio working on our next album, we are very excited for everyone to hear our first single, “Better Dig Two.”

Country rocker Eric Church will premiere the music video for his new single, “Creepin’,” from the CMA Album of the Year nominated record, “CHIEF”, exclusively on RollingStone.com tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 14. The music video was directed by Peter Zavadil and filmed in Chattanooga, Tenn. at the East Chattanooga Depot. The video features a normally sunglass-clad star sans his regular shades as he and a group of bandits–all Church’s longtime band members disguised alongside Church–set out to rob a train. Costume designer and stylist Katy Robbins worked in conjunction with Church and Zavadil to recreate the late 18th century fashion.

Eric shares:

“It’s an interesting concept. My band got to play in it and act in it, which was pretty cool. We’re all in western wear and robbing a train. For one of the scenes we filmed, we had the train stopped in a tunnel, and it was hotter than nine hells in there. It reminded me of the old days when we used to play crowded bars and clubs, only this was the first time I’ve ever sweat through the bottom of my boots!”

It has been quite a month for the arena-headlining artist who commences the fall leg of The Blood, Sweat & Beers Tour tonight in Amherst, Mass. with a pre-show 21+ BBQ at Mullins Center before doors open for the show featuring special guests Kip Moore and Justin Moore.

Willie Nelson – Behind The Scenes

Willie Nelson.

Country music legend Willie Nelson recently sat down with Rolling Stone magazine to share the story behind his latest single “A Horse Called Music.” He re-recorded the track with Merle Haggard and his son, Lukas Nelson, on his new album “Heroes.” The song is a throwback to classic country, and something that Willie is pretty excited to have on his new album. Willie approached Merle to sing on the album… and he agreed to do it almost instantly, he explains in the interview.
