Cole Swindell Celebrates Success for “Chillin’ It”

Cole Swindell

When Cole Swindell stepped on the stage of a nightclub in downtown Nashville earlier this week, he thought he was going to play a few songs for a taping of CMT Listen Up in front of a live audience of some of his biggest fans. Little did he know, his label, Warner Music Nashville, had quite the surprise in store for the singer.

Swindell was presented with two certification plaques for his hit single “Chillin’ It,” one in honor of the song’s RIAA gold certification for 500,000 downloads and another for its platinum certification for 1 million downloads.

“You only get a first single once,” Swindell explained to the audience. “The fact that it was accepted by not only radio but over 1 million fans is beyond anything I could ever have dreamed up. This is something I will never forget.”

Fans can hear Swindell sing “Chillin It’” as well as his latest single “Hope You Get Lonely Tonight” on tour with Luke Bryan.

Cassadee Pope Makes History With Debut Single

Cassadee Pope WATT

As we have recently reported, Big Machine recording artist Cassadee Pope‘s debut single, “Wasting All These Tears,” was RIAA certified as Platinum for moving one million units. Achieving Platinum status is a feat in itself, but, if you are familiar with Cassadee, you know that this young artist constantly strives for more in her budding country music career.

Well, this comes as no exception, as Cassadee not only received high honors from RIAA, but also broke a country music record in the process. With Cassadee’s certification, she becomes the first solo female country artist to achieve a Platinum-certified debut single since Taylor Swift‘s 2006 release of “Tim McGraw.”

Congratulations to Cassadee on leaving her footprint on history! You are doing country music proud and are representing female artists beautifully!

Vocalist Cassadee Pope has already experienced a multitude of successes in her young country music career. Add another tally mark to the list, as Cassadee’s first country single, “Wasting All These Tears” (off her debut solo project, Frame By Frame) has broken into the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot Country Airplay charts, after spending thirty-three weeks on the charts. Cassadee’s single, “Wasting All These Tears,” is currently approaching RIAA platinum certification, as it has far exceeded the five hundred thousand copies distributed mark.

Congratulations to Cassadee on another accomplishment in country music! We anticipate reporting on the official platinum certification of her album in the very near future!

Tyler Farr

Tyler Farr has many milestones to celebrate lately!

His number one hit single, “Redneck Crazy,” has been certified platinum by the RIAA. Farr was surprised with his commemorative plaque at the Sony Music Nashville CMA Party.

“Redneck Crazy” is the lead single for Farr’s debut album of the same name, which was released in late September. Redneck Crazy, which opened at number two on the Billboard Country Albums Chart, is the biggest selling debut album by a male country artist since 2011.

In addition to celebrating his new platinum status, Farr has also been nominated for the CRS 2014 New Faces Country Music Show.

Farr’s newest single, “Whiskey In My Water” is impacting country radio and climbing the charts. He is currently on the road with Florida Georgia Line, and will join Jason Aldean on tour next year.

Luke Bryan’s Crash My Party goes platinum

Luke Bryan.

Congratulations to Luke Bryan and his team at Capitol! His brand new album, “Crash My Party,” is now officially certified as  platinum by the RIAA for selling more than one million copies since its release. It’s only been six weeks since its release in August, so the certification is pretty impressive.

“Crash My Party” had sold over 520,000 copies during release week – giving Luke the best first-week sales for a male country artist in nine years. Did you get your copy yet? What’s your favorite track from Luke’s album?

The album, which was released on August 13, debuted at number 1 on the country chart, selling 527,783 units in its first week.

Luke’s current single, “That’s My Kinda Night” was the highest debut single of Bryan’s career, and has been the number 1 country selling single for six weeks. Congratulations to Brad Paisley and the entire team at Arista Nashville! The country superstar has gone double platinum with his hit duet “Remind Me” with Carrie Underwood. It has been officially certified double platinum by the RIAA for selling more than two million copies digitally since its release.

The single, from Brad’s 2011 “This is Country Music,” was released in February 2011, and was a co-write by Brad with Chris DuBois and Kelley Lovelace. It was a number one Billboard single for the pair.

Brad is out on the road for his “Beat This Summer” tour in support of his brand new album “Wheelhouse.” So far, he’s already played to over 423,000 fans on the tour – with plenty more dates to go! Are you going to be seeing Brad on tour this year?

Tyler Farr goes gold and top ten!

Tyler Farr.

Congratulations to Tyler Farr and the team at Sony Music Nashville! Not only has he gotten his first-ever gold certified RIAA single with “Redneck Crazy,” but it also went top ten on Mediabase this week. That’s a lot of firsts in one week. His debut album “Redneck Crazy,” will hit stores and iTunes on September 30th.

It’s a big deal for Tyler, who said:

“This ride just keeps getting wilder. The reaction from fans on the road has been amazing. It’s crazy to add a top 10 song and my first GOLD single on top of that. There was talk of moving the album street date up so fans could access the new music earlier with the Florida Georgia Line tour starting in the fall, but now that it is official, I can’t wait to have the release of my first album get here even sooner.”

Other recent milestones include selling out two back-to-back shows in West Virginia. The fan support from country fans has blown him away. Tyler explains:

“You know, I’ve been out on the road touring, and even with the great response from fans during the shows, it’s hard to wrap your head around it all. You sort of put your head down and just continue putting on the best shows you can and making the best music you can. And then to hear something crazy like, ‘Your single just went Top 10’, ‘Redneck Crazy was just certified GOLD,’ is surreal.”

Will you be picking up a copy of “Redneck Crazy” when it hits stores this September?

Kip Moore goes gold!

Kip Moore.

Congratulations to the team at MCA Nashville and Kip Moore! The rising country star was just awarded two gold certifications for his singles “Hey Pretty Girl” and “Beer Money” for each selling more than 500,000 copies since its release by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

It’s kind of a big deal for Kip, who said:

“’Pretty Girl’ and ‘Beer Money’ have been fan favorites on the road since we started playing them. Having the fans also want to have the music after the show – to connect and respond to our music that way, too – just fuels our fire even more.”

Kip was on Fox & Friends All American Concert Series this morning on Fox News. Did you catch his performance?

Lady Antebellum races up the charts

Lady Antebellum.

It might be hard to believe, but country super-trio Lady Antebellum has the fastest charting song of their career with “Downtown.” The GRAMMY-winning group’s single has taken over the top spots on Billboard and Mediabase country charts, while also selling more than 500,000 copes digitally since its release – giving them a RIAA-certified gold single.   “Downtown” has already spent the last two weeks at number one here in Canada.

The lead single from their upcoming album “Golden” has been huge out of the gate. The fun, groovy-tune reminds them of their previous single “American Honey,” explains Charles Kelley:

“Most of what the world has seen from Hillary from a radio single standpoint is this very sweet kind of style like ‘American Honey. But, she’s got a lot of sass and a lot of grit to her voice, too, so it’s been really fun to bring that out of her and have this kind of support from our fans and radio.”

Make sure to tune in this week to The Voice on NBC to catch Hillary Scott acting as a mentor to team Adam for the Battle Rounds. Have you been watching The Voice this season? Which team do you think has the best chance to win this year?
