Kelly Clarkson on the Cover of People Magazine
Kelly Clarkson is gracing the cover of People Magazine’s latest issue, on newsstands Friday, February 8th. Inside, the star gushes about finding love with her new fiancé Brandon Blackstock.
Kelly talks about how she finally cracked the code as to why she had never been in love before meeting Brandon:
“I was dating skinny jeans and I needed Wranglers.”
The artist also discusses details about her wedding, including her wedding dress and engagement ring. She also discusses their plan for the wedding to be an “earthy” fall wedding outdoors at their home.
Kelly is currently busy working on two new albums and also preparing for this Sunday’s (02/10) Grammy Awards where she will perform.

LeAnn Rimes Enters Treatment
In what came as a surprise to most country music fans this morning, LeAnn Rimes has voluntarily checked herself into a treatment facility one day after celebrating her 30th birthday. The “Spitfire” singer is trying to learn better stress coping mechanisms as she returns to her singing career with her new single out in December. In a statement to People magazine, her representative denies that it’s for drugs, alcohol or an eating disorder.
“LeAnn has voluntarily entered a 30 day in-patient treatment facility to cope with anxiety and stress,” her rep Marcel Pariseau tells PEOPLE in an exclusive statement. “While there will be speculation regarding her treatment, she is simply there to learn and develop coping mechanisms. While privacy isn’t expected, it’s certainly appreciated.”
LeAnn herself released a statement addressing why she feels it was so important to check herself in now rather than later:
“This is just a time for me to emotionally check out for a second and take care of myself and come back in 30 days as the best 30-year-old woman I can be,” she says. “All the things in my life will be there when I get out, but you know what? I’m hoping they’re not going to affect me as much,” she adds. “I’ll have the tools to know how to deal with them.”

Kellie Pickler Cut Off By Husband
Kellie Pickler‘s songwriting husband Kyle Jacobs has finally put his foot down. Kellie tells PEOPLE magazine that her husband just won’t let her take home anymore animals when she’s out on the road. She admits in the interview that she’s known for giving away animals she finds at concerts, and that rescuing animals is one of her favorite things. Right now, Kellie has three dogs and a python named Boots, but that’s enough for Kyle.
“My husband will not let me have any more animals than we do now,” she tells PEOPLE. “He never knows when the bus rolls up at home, I open the bus door, and he’s wondering what critter’s going to crawl off of there now.”
While Kellie loves helping abandoned animals find new, loving homes, she admits that it’s not always easy to watch them leave.
“I love being able to take in rescue dogs, rescue animals,” Pickler says. “But the sad thing is when you get attached to them and you have to give them away.”

Country music superstar Kenny Chesney never really considered himself to be a family man. He isn’t the kind of person to attach himself to something, and that’s exactly why a friend intervened, he tells PEOPLE magazine. Kenny added a new member to the Chesney household back in January – and now finds himself to be completely attached to him! For the first time in his life, Kenny is a proud dog owner. He found himself with a gold snickerdoodle named Pancho and now Kenny can’t see himself without his new best friend!
“A friend gave it to me and said, ‘Here, Kenny, you have to learn to attach to something!’ God’s honest truth!” Chesney tells PEOPLE. “Now, I love the guy.”
Looks like the puppy is fitting right in with the summer superstar. Pancho already loves being out on the water with his owner:
“That little guy, he’ll eat everything in sight – whether it’s edible or not – and he loves the water,” Chesney says. “I took him down to my boat, and he jumps right off.”
It’s sounding like fans can keep their eyes out for the newest roadie out on the Brothers of the Sun tour – Kenny is thinking about bringing Pancho out on the bus with him and Tim McGraw.
“The plan is to take him on tour,” he says. “We’ll see if he’s got what it takes.”

Toby Keith & Kristen Bell Hosting CMT Awards
Looks like Nashville will proceed to party June 6th when Toby Keith joins Kristen Bell as co-hosts for the CMT Awards, PEOPLE magazine has learned. It will be the first time for the duo, as they host the award show that Kid Rock has been hosting the last few times around. Toby last hosted the CMT awards with Pamela Anderson in 2003.
“It’s an honor to get that call,” says seven-time CMT winner Keith, 50, about being asked back to host to show. He and Pamela Anderson co-hosted in 2003.
It will be the first trip to Nashville for actress Kristen Bell, who is pretty excited about her upcomig trip to Music City.
“Country music makes me happy,” the actress, 31, tells PEOPLE. And she’s most excited about meeting her co-host – and the possibility of coming face to face with her country crush, Miranda Lambert.
The CMT Awards will air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on CMT and CMT.com on June 6th. We’ll be there live at the show, so stay tuned to Keepin’ it Country to stay up-to-date on everything CMT and CMA Fest.
Miranda Lambert Named People’s Most Beautiful
Miranda Lambert finally has something in common with one of her musical heroes, Beyonce. They were both named to PEOPLE magazine‘s Most Beautiful Women of 2012 list. While Beyonce comes in at number one, you’ll have to check PEOPLE magazine to see where Miranda ranks.
“All these stars are so tiny, and they spend their lives trying to be skinny,” Miranda told Health in 2011. “I’m representing normal girls. It’s OK to have a little bit of curve. I’m happy with my body. So many girls come up to me and say, ‘Thank you for being normal,’ and I’m proud of that.”

Josh Kelley Adopts New Daughter
Congratulations to Josh Kelley and his wife, Katherine Heigl! The pair confirmed to PEOPLE magazine that they’ve adopted a second daughter. Although no details are available at this time, we here at Keepin’ it Country sincerly wish them and their now-bigger family the best.
The pair previously adopted their first daughter, Naleigh Moon, from North Korea.
Blake Shelton & Adam Levine Cover People Magazine
Looks like The Voice might have been one of the smartest decisions Blake Shelton has made in his career so far. He shares the cover of People magazine with fellow Voice coach Adam Levine – even bumping out Jessica Simpson‘s baby shower news for the top spot!
They share secrets, or not-so-secrets, on their friendship in the issue, including what they think of fellow coach, and often banter target, Christina Aguilera.
“A few weeks ago somebody asked me, ‘What about you and Adam’s bromance. Is there anything to it?’ ” Shelton, 35, tells PEOPLE in this week’s cover story.
“And I sputtered off, ‘Yeah, I’m going to make out with him.’ The next thing you read is, ‘Blake wants to kiss Adam.’ Man, I can’t believe how …”
“True that is?” interjects Levine, 33.
The two admit that they never thought they’d get as close as they have with each other. They’ve even been out on double dates with Blake’s wife, Miranda Lambert, and Adam’s supermodel girlfriend Anne V. There’s only one thing the pair want to settle once and for all with their fans:
Stop using the word “Bromance.” “Can we please kill that stupid term?” he asks. “We’re just friends. It’s called friendship!”

Dave Haywood To Marry This Year
Lady Antebellum‘s last bachelor, Dave Haywood, is planning on tying the knot later this year, he tells People magazine before the group’s surprise performance for OREO’s 100th birthday last week. Dave admits he likes to help plan the wedding to Kelli Cashiola, and all the details that go into it:
“We will be married this year. I enjoy the wedding planning and setting up where everything is going to be.”
Dave proposed to Kelli, who works for Warner Music Nashville, in December. He’ll be the last member of Lady Antebellum to get married after Hillary Scott married the group’s drummer in a surprise ceremony in January. Just because the other two members have settled down, it doesn’t mean that Dave will listen to their advice:
“I’m not taking their advice.”
Lady Antebellum will perform at the 47th annual Academy of Country Music Awards on April 1st on CBS. The award show will be broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena at 8 pm EST with Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton sharing hosting duties.
Kellie Pickler Dishes Wedding Secrets
Kellie Pickler is a very busy woman these days. Between taping two different Christmas specials, and getting ready to release her new album “100 Proof” in January, she still found time to sit down with People Magazine and share how she gets her marriage to work with her busy career. In the interview, she calls her husband Kyle Jacobs a “blessing,” and that she has her best Christmas gift in their 1-year old marriage.
“Marriage is so special,” the country singer, 25, tells PEOPLE. “I never thought that I would get married, so I’m glad that I let that wall down. I’m glad that I let Kyle love me. He is the greatest blessing in my life.”
The pair secretly wed on January 1st, 2011 in the Caribbean, and are approaching their first anniversary together. They found a unique way to share their love for each other: writing it down in journals.
“He’s been doing it since before we got engaged and [then] I started a journal for him,” says Pickler. “It’s one of those things you write in not for any special occasion but just because you love one another. It shouldn’t take holidays for you to act like you like each other and be nice to one another. You should be like that every day.”
Kellie’s new album “100 Proof” will be released on January 24th. She describes the album as being influenced by country music greats Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton and Tammy Wynette.
