On Wednesday, May 8, a small group of Lady Antebellum fans were treated to a special performance by the band in New York City. The show took place at the iHeartRadio Theater presented by P.C. Richard & Son to celebrate the release of Lady A’s new album, Golden. The trio performed tracks from the new album, including “Downtown,” “Goodbye Town” and “Golden” as well as fan faves such as “Need You Now” and “Owned the Night.” They also performed a stellar cover of Bruno Mars’s recent hit, “Locked Out of Heaven.”

The biggest music festival in the world is returning again this year! iHeartRadio Music Festival will once again take over the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on September 20th and 21st. The two-day event is put together by Clear Channel and features the top artists and performers from all genres of music, and is streamed online.

Last year’s festival featured an all-star lineup, including Taylor Swift, No Doubt, Bon Jovi, Prince, Aerosmith, Jason Aldean, Lil Wayne, Swedish House Mafia, Usher, Green Day, Rihanna, P!nk, Brad Paisley, Calvin Harris, Enrique Iglesias, Mary J. Blige, Linkin Park, deadmau5 and Pitbull. More than 17 million people tuned into the 2012 iHeartRadio Music Festival which also generated more than 1 billion social impressions and more than 50 million text-to-win contest entries. The 2013 iHeartRadio Music Festival lineup will be announced this summer.

The CW To Broadcast iheartradio Music Festival

There’s some good news today for fans who weren’t able to get tickets for this year’s iheartradio Music Festival, which had sold out in minutes. The CW will be kicking off their Fall Season with an exclusive broadcast of the Festival on Monday, October 1st from 8 pm EST to 10 pm EST. The two-day concert event will take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas from September 21st to the 22nd with the hottest acts in music participating – including country’s own Miranda Lambert, Brad Paisley, Taylor Swift and Jason Aldean. It’s Taylor’s only date for 2012!

“The inaugural iHeartRadio Music Festival was an amazing experience for our listeners and music fans across America, and this year’s lineup is again going to exceed all expectations. With CW as the Festival’s TV broadcast partner, we can give people who can’t be in Las Vegas the ability to watch this extraordinary event from their own living rooms,” said John Sykes, President of Clear Channel Entertainment Enterprises. “This exclusive broadcast event emphasizes our commitment to bringing great music and content to our audience anywhere they want it.”

The following night, on October 2nd, The CW will air the one-hour season premier of Heart Of Dixie at 8 pm EST.

Country music superstars Miranda Lambert, Brad Paisley, Taylor Swift and Jason Aldean are part of the biggest live concert event of the year this year in Las Vegas. The iHeartRadio Music Festival is returning this year on September 21st and 22nd at the MGM Grand. Other artists already announced include P!nk, Bon Jovi, No Doubt, Rihanna, Aerosmith, Usher, Green Day, Linkin Park, Shakira, Mary J. Blige, and Calvin Harris among others. Tickets are not yet on-sale, but for more information, including how to win tickets, visit the iHeartRadio Music Festival website.

Carrie Underwood performed a private iHeartRadio show in New York City last night to celebrate the release of her new album, Blown Away, which was released yesterday, May 1st. Blown Away is currently the top selling album on iTunes.

Carrie’s first single from Blown Away, “Good Girl” has been certified gold by the RIAA for selling 500,000 digital downloads and is currently sitting at number 8 on the Top 10 Billboard Country Songs Chart.

Carrie Underwood To Perform Special iHeartRadio Concert

Carrie Underwood fans will have something special t0 look forward to leading up to the country music superstar’s new album on May 1st. To help celebrate Carrie’s brand new record “Blown Away,” out on May 1st, Carrie, Sony Music Nashville, and Clear Channel have partnered up for a private concert for fans in New York City to preview her album. The event will be streamed on iheartradio.com for fans who are unable to attend but want to check out her live performances of the album’s tracks.

The partnership kicks off April 24th when Clear Channel will launch a 2-week-long on-air and online Artist Integration Program designed to promote “Blown Away” to Clear Channel’s listeners and fans. The campaign will feature radio spots created by Clear Channel’s top Imaging Directors which will run across the network’s country music platforms and stations. They’ll also air exclusive interview clips from Carrie, and one listener will win a trip to the Bayou Country Superfest to see and meet Carrie thanks to Sony Music Nashville. Another part of the promotion will include a special iTunes content portal featuring an extended interview with Carrie, and a banner ad campaign.

“Carrie Underwood is an established music icon. We’re thrilled to partner with Sony Nashville on her album release, utilizing our multi-platform capabilities to create an event around the release and bring our audiences that much closer to her music,” said Tom Poleman, President of Clear Channel National Programming Platforms.  “The Artist Integration Program and iHeartRadio Live performance are a perfect complement to one another, combining the power of our audience reach across our radio network and digital platforms.”

Carrie’s intimate show, being taped at the P.C. Richard & Son Theater in New York City, will be streamed online for fans to view later. She will perform some of her hit singles and a few tracks from her album for the lucky fans who get to see Carrie in a small setting.

Clear Channel Radio announced this morning that they’ve re-branded themselves as Clear Channel Media And Entertainment. The leading radio company in the United States, having greater reach than any other radio or television brand, decided on the name change to better reflect their evolving business. The core of Clear Channel will remain with over 850 radio stations, but with the new name, will expand into further areas.

Clear Channel Media and Entertainment delivers music, talk, news, and sports to audiences in multiple markets across the United States. The internet station iHeartradio is also part of the company and will remain intact with the re-branding.

Clear Channel Media And Entertainment produced the largest live concert event in radio history in 2011: the iHeartradio music festival. The promotion for the festival reached over 100 million people using Clear Channel’s platform.
