IMG_3831

Before heading to Europe for his upcoming tour with Orianthi, Richie Sambora was excited to head to Nashville, TN, surprising crowds with an incredible appearance during Zac Brown Band’s set at the CMA Music Festival. The collaborative performance, which saw Richie and the acclaimed country/folk band riffing on the iconic hit “Wanted Dead or Alive” had the crowd amped up over at LP Field.

Said Richie Sambora “What a blast playing with my brother Zac Brown. Nashville has always welcomed me with open arms and it was incredible to jump on stage and feel the energy of that amazing crowd!”

Richie’s European tour kicks off June 13th with a sold out show in London.  He’ll be back in the states for 3 special performances in NYC, being announced shortly.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Dee Jay Silver

Dee Jay Silver

In today’s music, it is common to hear a remix of some of your favorite songs; even heartfelt power ballads have turned into dance hits with the help of some of music’s most talented DJs. And just when you thought DJ’ing couldn’t become anymore unique, enter Dee Jay Silver, the first DJ to be signed to a major Nashville record label. Dee Jay has played in premier venues in virtually every major market in the United States, Mexico, and Canada, but has ultimately found his home in Nashville. Whether he is touring with Jason Aldean and playing in sold out stadiums, performing on the American Country Awards, or remixing the work of some of country’s best known artists, Dee Jay is bringing his talents to the fans of country music in a myriad of ways. Dee Jay took some time out of his day of “bad television” while he recovered from the ACAs in Las Vegas to talk with me about his music, his favorite tour stop to date, and his future plans (which included getting back to Nashville stat!).

VIDEO: Kelly Clarkson World Premieres “Tie It Up” at CMA Fest

tieitup

As we posted yesterday, Kelly Clarkson took the stage at LP Field last night during CMA Fest to world premiere her new single “Tie It Up.” The single art shows her coyly tied to a male companion, while wearing a bridal gown and veil, her real engagement ring on display. On the track, Clarkson mixes her typical powerhouse bluesy rock voice with cute lyrics about tying the knot. The song was written by Kelly Clarkson, Ashley Arrison, Shane McAnally & Josh Osborne.

Give a listen to the song below and let us know what you think! (Personally, we enjoy the “Woo”-s on the chorus!)

Carrie Underwood Celebrates Five-Year Anniversary as Grand Ole Opry Member

Carrie Underwood celebrated a career milestone last night with her five-year anniversary as a member of the Grand Ole Opry. The Opry honored Underwood last night with a video presentation highlighting her incredible five-year run.

Underwood said, “It’s so hard to believe it’s been five years, but what an amazing five years it has been. Just watching that video, I was getting a little teary-eyed, thinking about how I felt when all of that was happening. And I still feel that blessed and that honored to be on this stage.”

As a token of the event, the Grammy Winner was presented with a commemorative print by Opry Vice President and General Manager Pete Fisher. He said, “You have far surpassed the high expectations we had when we brought you into the family, and we know it is going to continue into the future. You are not only so good for country music, you are so good for the Grand Ole Opry, and you are so good for America. We appreciate all that you do.”

Kelly Clarkson Reveals New Country Single Title & Cover Art

tieitup

Riding on the success and acclaim of “Don’t Rush,” country music’s favorite adopted pop star, Kelly Clarkson, took to Twitter today to reveal the title and cover art for her new single, “Tie It Up.” Although not much is known about the track (yet), Clarkson will be premiering it at LP Field tonight during her set at CMA Fest.

The cover features Clarkson in a wedding dress and veil, her hand tied to someone else’s. Just a hunch, but we’re thinking this tune has a little something to do with her rumored October wedding to fiance Brandon Blackstock. Stay tuned for more!
