VIDEO: Kelly Clarkson World Premieres “Tie It Up” at CMA Fest

tieitup

As we posted yesterday, Kelly Clarkson took the stage at LP Field last night during CMA Fest to world premiere her new single “Tie It Up.” The single art shows her coyly tied to a male companion, while wearing a bridal gown and veil, her real engagement ring on display. On the track, Clarkson mixes her typical powerhouse bluesy rock voice with cute lyrics about tying the knot. The song was written by Kelly Clarkson, Ashley Arrison, Shane McAnally & Josh Osborne.

Give a listen to the song below and let us know what you think! (Personally, we enjoy the “Woo”-s on the chorus!)

Carrie Underwood celebrated a career milestone last night with her five-year anniversary as a member of the Grand Ole Opry. The Opry honored Underwood last night with a video presentation highlighting her incredible five-year run.

Underwood said, “It’s so hard to believe it’s been five years, but what an amazing five years it has been. Just watching that video, I was getting a little teary-eyed, thinking about how I felt when all of that was happening. And I still feel that blessed and that honored to be on this stage.”

As a token of the event, the Grammy Winner was presented with a commemorative print by Opry Vice President and General Manager Pete Fisher. He said, “You have far surpassed the high expectations we had when we brought you into the family, and we know it is going to continue into the future. You are not only so good for country music, you are so good for the Grand Ole Opry, and you are so good for America. We appreciate all that you do.”

Riding on the success and acclaim of “Don’t Rush,” country music’s favorite adopted pop star, Kelly Clarkson, took to Twitter today to reveal the title and cover art for her new single, “Tie It Up.” Although not much is known about the track (yet), Clarkson will be premiering it at LP Field tonight during her set at CMA Fest.

The cover features Clarkson in a wedding dress and veil, her hand tied to someone else’s. Just a hunch, but we’re thinking this tune has a little something to do with her rumored October wedding to fiance Brandon Blackstock. Stay tuned for more!

Country music’s firecracker Miranda Lambert made a quick stop backstage at the 2012 CMA Music Festival to answer a few questions before hitting the stage later that night. Miranda, who was feeling pretty sick all day, still found time to meet with the press backstage. Listen to the clips of her interview below:

Miranda, as you might notice from her voice in our clips, was forced to have the Pistol Annies and Raelynn fill in last minute for her at her fanclub party during CMA Fest, apologizes to the media and her fans for being sick. She has a pretty good idea why she was feeling under the weather, and where she got it from:
