Just when you thought you couldn’t love The Band Perry any more … This happens. The superstar sibling trio recently stepped up to help with funeral expenses to bury a mother and eight children who were tragically killed in a house fire in Greenville, Kentucky. Only two family members — the father, Chad J. Watson, and an 11-year-old girl — survived the fire Thursday morning.
The Perry siblings’ representatives contacted the Watson family and offered to take care of all the expenses and also offered to pay hotel expenses for family members staying near the medical center where the two surviving Watsons are being treated. A family friend stated, “I don’t know why The Band Perry reached out to the family other than they are just very gracious. The family doesn’t have any personal connection to the band before now.”
Blake Shelton has selected upcoming tour mates The Band Perry to be advisors for his team this season on The Voice.
“Blake didn’t have to ask us twice if we wanted to mentor his team this season on The Voice,” shared The Band Perry. “It was so much fun to work with Team Blake, and after 15 years of receiving plenty of ‘constructive criticism,’ it was our turn to pay it forward. We just hope we were as helpful to Blake’s team as our own mentors have been to us through the years.”
E! News will give you an exclusive look inside rehearsals with Shelton, TBP and Team Blake tonight at 7:30 and 11:30 p.m. Make sure you tune in!
Meanwhile, Shakira and Usher are back to mix things up with Blake and Adam this season. Blake’s better half, Miranda Lambert, will be back as well but as an advisor for Team Shakira. That should make for some fun and interesting competition in the Shelton-Lambert house!
Season 6 of The Voice will kick off Monday, February 24th on NBC!

Kimberly, Reid, and Neil wrapped up the European leg of their tour in December to much critical acclaim. Three Chords and The Truth said, “as long as artists like The Band Perry are the leading lights of new country, then evolution need not be viewed too negatively and the spirit in the title of the Pioneer album can continue to set the agenda.” As evidenced by Pioneer being on our list for “Best Albums of 2013,” we completely agree. The band is a perfect blend of country tradition and evolution, and Pioneer included some of the best work in country music in recent years.
In addition to their natural music talent and chart-topping songs, TBP are also known for their amazing and electrifying live performances. You surely do not want to miss them!

Every once in a while a band or artist comes along that you know is something special and is going to do big things in music. When The Band Perry first came onto the scene, it was pretty evident that they would be one of those bands and they have found success after success!
The sibling trio – Kimberly, Reid, & Neil Perry – celebrated their fourth number one song on Monday for their hit single, “DONE.” The song is high energy, sassy, in your face with a perfect rockin’ country sound. You really can’t help but want to wail along with the radio.
The number one is an especially big milestone for brothers Reid and Neil. “DONE.” is their first number one as songwriters. The track was co-written with John Davidson and Jacob Bryant. The trio met John and Jacob when they opened for TBP at some of their shows in the UK. A relationship was formed and co-writing magic was born. “DONE.” is John & Jacob’s first cut as songwriters. Talk about a good start!
BMI, SESAC, Red Light Management, WME, BMLG and Major Bob Music hosted a party at the historic Bridge Building in downtown Nashville to honor The Band Perry and co-writers John & Jacob this week.
In addition to the plethora of #1 awards presented to the writers and The Band Perry by The CMA, Country Radio Broadcasters, BMI, SESAC and Major Bob Music, Republic Nashville also presented the band with a career milestone plaque commemorating more than TEN MILLION downloads and over TWO MILLON records sold in just four years.
“10 million plus paid downloads and over two million albums sold in less than four years is such an amazing success story!” said Republic Nashville President/BMLG EVP Jimmy Harnen. “Back to back #1 singles, # 1 most added on their brand new single and the announcement of a World Tour all screams this is the year of The Band Perry!”
The Band Perry’s new single, “Don’t Let Me Be Lonely,” was also the most added at country radio this week, its first week.
I think Mr. Harnen said it best… it is the year of The Band Perry!

The Band Perry was well into their spirited set last week at Ohio State University performing their smash “All Your Life” when the generators unexpectedly blew out leaving the band in darkness. That is until the crowd pulled out their cell phones and created enough light for the show to go on. The superstar sibling trio followed up with their cover of “I Will Always Love You,” and shortly thereafter light returned.
“We never know what’s going to happen when we step on stage,” said Kimberly Perry. “One show I’m throwing bits of my shredded dress into the audience, and another we’re playing under the cell phone spotlight,” says Kimberly Perry.“We’ already play a cover of Queen’s ‘Fat Bottom Girls’ in our set and after last night we may need to prepare a cover of Meat Loaf’s ‘Paradise by the Dashboard Light’ except ours would be called ‘Paradise by the Cellphone Light’” said Reid Perry.“The OSU students definitely lit up the house in more ways than one! They were great and they were with us all the way!” says Neil Perry.
Pioneers are everywhere and they’re coming to find you!
Country’s favorite sibling trio, The Band Perry, has announced their first worldwide headline tour. The We Are Pioneers World Tour will kick off in Gothenburg, Sweden on November 8, 2013 and trek across Europe before the band returns home to play throughout North America.
The siblings are pumped! “We live to play. In our minds everything we do – writing, recording, interviews, appearances – is the means to the live end. To fully and totally understand our band, you have to see us live. It’s the three of us in our element, our living room, our therapy session, our recess. We can’t wait to bring WE ARE PIONEERS to the world,” said Kimberly Perry.
“We are very fortunate that we get to walk on stage and do what we love to do – and it’s our fans that have given us that opportunity. We sincerely appreciate each and every one of them, and we are looking forward to meeting new people across the world and making The Fans Perry a global community,” added Reid Perry.

Fans of The Band Perry couldn’t get enough of their favorite band this weekend when the superstar sibling trio – Kimberly, Reid and Neil Perry – played to over 28,000 ecstatic fans. The show at the Boots and Hearts Festival in Bowmanville, Ontario at the Canadian Tire Motorsports Park marks The Band Perry’s largest Canadian audience to date.
“The energy coming from the crowd bordered on frenzy, we could have played the entire night fueled by that kind of excitement,” says Reid Perry.
“There’s this crazy power that comes from THAT many people all singing the same songs and moving in the same way. We are still reeling and can’t wait to be back north of the border” says Neil Perry.
“It all happened so quickly that I didn’t even realize that my leg had been hurt. I just noticed the rip in my dress and saw that part of it was just hanging by a thread so I ripped off the rest and tossed it out into the crowd. It was one of those sweaty, primitive stage moments I live for,” said Kimberly.
