The artist American Songwriter proclaimed as “one of Nashville’s best voices,” Randy Houser, is back with the follow-up to his No. 1 smash hit “How Country Feels” with a new music video for Top 30-and-climbing single “Runnin’ Outta Moonlight.” The latest music video from the “pitch-perfect” (Washington Post) singer will debut TODAY on cmt.com and CMT.

“Runnin’ Outta Moonlight,” penned by writers Dallas Davidson, Ashley Gorley and Kelly Lovelace, is off Houser’s Jan. 22 Stoney Creek Records release, How Country Feels. The lead single and title track, “How Country Feels,” became Houser’s first RIAA Gold-certified record and now, Houser has earned a Breakthrough Video of the Year CMT Award nomination for the “How Country Feels” video – directed by Wes Edwards.

The “Runnin’ Outta Moonlight” video, also directed by Edwards, was the first ever to be shot inside a planetarium (Edwards shot in Nashville’s Sudekum Planetarium). Using the most advanced, light-sensitive digital cameras available to date, Edwards was able to capture a full band performance with the night sky as the backdrop, adding a unique dynamic to the video and story-line as a whole.

Houser explains how he recorded the track:
“‘Runnin’ Outta Moonlight’ was a last minute find for us.  My buddy Dallas sent me the song the day before our last day in the studio. Wes then came in with such a great concept for the video with the planetarium and effects; I’m really proud of the way it all turned out.”

Randy Houser celebrates first-ever RIAA gold single

Country star Randy Houser may sing about getting “some of this slow-down fast” in “How Country Feels,” but right now his career begs to differ as the song, his first-ever No. 1 hit, also becomes his first RIAA® Gold® certified single, selling over half a million downloads and climbing. “How Country Feels” is the title track off of his new album which hit stores last week and debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Country Albums chart. The album has also received praise from AP, CBS New York, The Washington Post, Billboard and many more.

In the midst of the barreling momentum, Houser performed for the nation last week on FOX News Channel’s Fox & Friends, Walmart Soundcheck, AOL Sessions, Yahoo! Ram Country and Better TV, and interviewed on GAC’s Headline Country, and CMT’s Hot 20 Countdown where he was challenged to see how country feels truly feels by hilariously having to identify different obscure “country” objects while blindfolded.

Chris Talbott of the Associated Press writes How Country Feels is “stuffed with country soul-inflected mid-tempo arrangements that highlight Houser’s rich voice, there’s likely a few more hits among its 15 tracks.” Rhapsody’s Linda Ryan adds, “How County Feels is a polished collection whose other gems include feel-good ‘Growin’ Younger’ and frivolous charmer ‘Absolutely Nothing.’ But Houser’s soulful voice shines brightest on the straight and sincere songs, like ‘The Singer,’ ‘Power of a Song’ and ‘Route 3 Box 250 D.’”

Annie Reuter, online reviewer for CBS New York, who attended his sold-out show in New York City at Mercury Lounge which was broadcast live on Sirius XM’s “The Highway” notes, “Randy segued effortlessly from the high energy numbers to the slower ones but just because he got quieter didn’t mean the crowd ever would. No doubt excited for his show, fans screamed requests and compliments throughout his set. ‘You play like there’s 18,000 of us. We love it!’ one fan screamed.’”

Houser will make yet another national appearance on CONAN on Tuesday, February 5 at 11 p.m. EST / 10 p.m. CST, where he will perform “How Country Feels.” Tune in to TBS to watch.

With a relentless tour schedule this year across the U.S., Houser will appear with Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley on the Locked and Reloaded Tour, A full list of tour dates can be found at randyhouser.com. Follow Houser on Facebook and Twitter @RandyHouser.

Randy Houser to release How Country Feels in January

Randy Houser fans got a special surprise earlier this week when the country star announced plans to finally release his brand new album “How Country Feels” in early 2013. His third album will be released on Stoney Creek Records on January 22nd, 2013. The record will feature his smash hit title track single, along with 14 other brand new tracks. It will be available at all digital and physical music retailers.

The follow-up to his critically-acclaimed sophomore album “They Call Me Cadillac” is a 15-track disc including seven songs penned by Houser, and is named for the hit “How Country Feels,” Houser’s fastest-climbing which has sold over 250k singles to-date. Maintaining his label as a “true singer’s singer,” (Roughstock), Houser brings the same quality craftsmanship to the new album that brought him No. 2 smash hit “Boots On,” poignant ballad “Anything Goes,” fan-favorite crowd stomper, “Whistlin’ Dixie,” and made him the Most-Played New Artist on country radio in 2009 (Country Aircheck).

How Country Feels is produced by Derek George – the first person Houser ever met when he first moved to Nashville.
“I’ve wanted to work with him since day one,” says Houser. “We just clicked… he comes from my home state of Mississippi and we share a similar creative vision that I think really shines through on this new album… can’t wait for ya’ll to hear it!”

Recently wrapping up his headlining Jagermeister Presents Tour, Houser is currently on the road performing at venues across the U.S., bringing fans over 200 dates per year.
