Big Ride Entertainment artist Marlee Scott will be releasing her debut full-length “Beautiful Maybe” album on June 19th. It’s been a year in the making for the singer, who enlisted the help of producer David Kalmusky for an edgy-pop infused country album. The album will contain 12 songs including the title track single, “Train Wreck,” “I’m Not Your Baby Anymore,” “Jane Doe,” and “Planet of Your Own.” Some of the biggest songwriters in Nashville have joined the project, including Aimee Mayo, Hillary Lindsey, Desmond Child, and Troy Verges among others.
“Beautiful Maybe is something I am so proud of,” says Marlee. “This is my debut album, but I really feel like I have come into my own on this project musically. I think the diversity of these songs offers something unique to my fans that will keep them coming back and listening to this record over and over again. It’s relatable, fun and emotional, and I feel like each song has a message that will truly touch people in so many different ways. In the end, that’s what making Country music is all about.”
“Beautiful Maybe” will be Marlee’s debut album on Big Ride Entertainment, and her current single “Train Wreck” features guest vocals from country music superstar Vince Gill. Not only is her single gaining airplay, but it’s started to become popular in dance clubs with remixes, too. Allen Morgan remixed the title track to fit dance floors across the United States, and is available on iTunes for purchase right now.

Marlee Scott is rolling out her “Train Wreck.” Unlike the real-life thing, hers is one from which you won’t want to turn away.
Scott premiered the video for her single “Train Wreck” today online at CMT.com and on cable with CMT Pure. The video was shot this past December in Nashville. It features Scott as a makeover expert saving three train wrecks from themselves at a speed dating event. The video is directed by Roman White, who has previously worked with some of country’s biggest names: Taylor Swift, Blake Shelton, Lady Antebellum and Carrie Underwood.
Vince Gill, who provided harmonies for the single, does not appear in the video. But as you will see, the video does not lack anything minus the guitar slinger:
We’ve got a special spot in our hearts here at Keepin’ It Country for Canadian country artist Marlee Scott. Although she is out promoting her new single “Train Wreck”, she still finds time to reach out to her fans through a series of Youtube videos. While her one series “Make It or Bake It with Marlee Scott” garners some giggles and provides some great recipes, her “I Love This Song” series is really neat.
With four videos down so far, Marlee finds a way to tie two mainstream songs together and covers them, usually sans backup. In fact, one of the videos features Marlee sitting on a hammock with her dog nearby as she plays a mashup of two 90s hits: “Baby One More Time” and “I Want It That Way”.
Her latest video in this series blends together two songs from fellow Canadian artists: “Wish You Were Here” by Avril Lavigne and “Next 2 You” by Chris Brown ft. Justin Bieber. With the support of Jay Riehl on drum box and Stephan Laplante on guitar, Marlee strums her own guitar along to that refreshing and sweet voice of hers.
Can we just say we love these mashups?

I love making people smile and chuckle and want to sing along, and ‘Train Wreck’ seems to do it every time.”
On working with Marlee on the single, and how he loves Canadian music, Vince said:
“Canada has had a great history of some of the best music I have ever heard. My wish for Marlee is to be part of that rich history.”
