So, who can you expect to see at the Fremont Street Experience, performing on this monster screen? An incredible line-up consisting of co-headliners Gary Allan and Jake Owen, along with Randy Houser, Chris Janson, Jana Kramer, Kip Moore, Joe Nichols and Sunny Sweeney!

Toby Keith takes over Texas

Toby Keith.

On Saturday, Feb. 9th, Toby Keith broke all attendance records for the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo.  Not only did he sell out the venue but it was the biggest crowd they have ever had since the event started in 1950.  Keith’s next performance stop will also be in Texas at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on Feb. 25th.

And, as part of the Texas Heritage Songwriters’ Hall Of Fame Weekend, Toby Keith will be presented with an official certificate from the Office of the Governor hereby declaring Toby an Honorary Texan.  Other notable Honorary Texans include Bob Dylan, Russell Crowe, Bob Hope and many others. The event will take place on Sunday, March 3rd, at ACL Live at The Moody Theater. The superstar will deliver a special performance in honor of his most loved songwriters, Roger Miller.

Toby shares:

“Roger Miller was so intelligent that many of the greats would follow him around just for inspiration, just to hear him talk. He said some of the most famous quotes ever. If you want to hear cleverness, you want to hear wit, and you want to hear charm – you want to hear a ‘Class A’ songwriter, it’s Roger Miller.”

Toby Keith is preparing to put the hammer down on a new tour called, appropriately, the Hammer Down Tour. Presented by longtime partner Ford F-Series, the run begins on June 8 in Ozark, AR.  Joining him on this party is special guest Kip Moore.

Touring in support of his current album Hope On The Rocks, Keith will bring his acclaimed live show and its breakneck set list of hits, not the least of which is the album’s title track single, “Hope On The Rocks.”

Kip Moore, Vince Gill & Pam Tillis appearing on Nashville

Kip Moore.

ABC’s hit new series “Nashville” is really pumping up its country music cred. After already having country stars Chris Young and Brantley Gilbert have cameo performances on previous episodes, producers announced that Kip Moore, the legendary Vince Gill, and Pam Tillis will be part of the February 27th episode.  The episode follows the birthday of character Deacon, who is played by Charles Esten.

Kip, who is a fan of the show, shares on why he hopes fans don’t think the real Nashville isn’t as dramatic:

”I don’t think that everybody believes that’s exactly how Nashville is. Tell people to lighten up a little bit. It’s TV. You gotta put the drama in there, and you gotta do stuff entertaining for people.”

Check out the preview for “Dear Brother” below. Who do you want to see appear on the show next?

Eric Church Debuting Creepin’ Video With Rolling Stone

Country rocker Eric Church will premiere the music video for his new single, “Creepin’,” from the CMA Album of the Year nominated record, “CHIEF”, exclusively on RollingStone.com tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 14. The music video was directed by Peter Zavadil and filmed in Chattanooga, Tenn. at the East Chattanooga Depot. The video features a normally sunglass-clad star sans his regular shades as he and a group of bandits–all Church’s longtime band members disguised alongside Church–set out to rob a train. Costume designer and stylist Katy Robbins worked in conjunction with Church and Zavadil to recreate the late 18th century fashion.

Eric shares:

“It’s an interesting concept. My band got to play in it and act in it, which was pretty cool. We’re all in western wear and robbing a train. For one of the scenes we filmed, we had the train stopped in a tunnel, and it was hotter than nine hells in there. It reminded me of the old days when we used to play crowded bars and clubs, only this was the first time I’ve ever sweat through the bottom of my boots!”

It has been quite a month for the arena-headlining artist who commences the fall leg of The Blood, Sweat & Beers Tour tonight in Amherst, Mass. with a pre-show 21+ BBQ at Mullins Center before doors open for the show featuring special guests Kip Moore and Justin Moore.
