Cold River Recording artist Katie Armiger has charted five singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Since 2009, every video she has released has been voted by fans onto GAC’s “Top 20 Countdown” including “Leaving Home,” which lodged itself in the countdown for an astonishing four-and-a-half months. Fan votes also netted her the No. 1 spot in Country Weekly’s Hottest Bachelorette issue two years in a row, as well as the No. 3 slot in the magazine’s most beautiful women in country music list. In 2012, she appeared during a pivotal date on ABC’s hit show “Bachelor Pad.” 2013 kicked off with the release of her current album, Fall Into Me, which became her highest charting album debuting at #7 on Billboard and iTunes Country Album chart on day of release. The album includes her current single, “Playin With Fire” which is at Country radio now and the recently released music video which debuted at #2 on GAC Top 20 Fan Voted Countdown.
Katie Armiger, who has become one of the biggest and brightest independent female artists in country music today, released her much anticipated fourth studio album “Fall Into Me” on Cold River Records yesterday. The rave reviews for the album, in which Katie had a hand in writing all 14 tracks, have been rolling in dubbing it her best yet. “Fall Into Me” features Katie’s current single “Better In A Black Dress,” which is her first Top 40 hit single and continues to climb the charts. Tune into GAC Daily Countdown all this week at 5pm CST (check local listings) to check out exclusive performances from Katie’s album release party in Nashville.
“Fall Into Me” is a deeply personal album for Katie that takes listeners on a journey through one of the most poignant relationships she has experienced in her young life. It is clear with every note on “Fall Into Me” that Katie has grown, not only as an artist and songwriter, but as a woman as well. Katie worked with several well-known songwriters including Blair Daly (Faith Hill, Keith Urban, and Tim McGraw), Joe West (Julianne Hough, Toby Keith, and Jimmy Wayne), Bruce Wallace (Dierks Bentley, Trace Adkins, and Montgomery Gentry), and Skid Mills (Saving Abel, Sister Hazel).
One of country music’s biggest independent female artists, Katie Armiger, is set to release her much anticipated album on January 15th, 2013.
Fall Into Me is the artist’s fourth studio album. Katie, who worked with Chad Carlson on this album (Taylor Swift, Trisha Yearwood, and Terri Clark) took part in writing all fourteen tracks. Fall Into Me features Katie’s current single “Better In A Black Dress.” The track, which is climbing the charts rapidly, is the artist’s first Top 40 hit single.
Fall Into Me is quite personal: Katie highlights the discovery of true love, the loss of trust, and the discovery of inner strength with this album.
“We took our time making this record because I had a personal story to tell and as a songwriter I wanted to really showcase the past two years in the music,” said Katie. “I worked with so many amazing people for the album and I am so proud of it because I think everyone will relate to each song. I cannot wait to get it out there.”
Katie has opened for some of country music’s biggest artists, including Darius Rucker, Josh Turner, and the Eli Young Band. Currently, she is out on her Get Smart Tour, sponsored by GAC.

Fans of Katie Armiger who haven’t had the opportunity to check her out on tour yet are in luck. The songstress has added over twenty-five new dates to her “Get Smart Tour,” which is sponsored by Great American Country (GAC). The tour will end up hitting over fifty major cities across the U.S. with a stop at the Bud Lught Stage at the Bridgestone Arena on June 8th for CMA Music Fest.
The tour began in March and will continue through November, and has already been a great experience for Armiger. “This tour has been incredible so far getting to meet and make new fans – and it only keeps getting better,” said Katie. “No artist can ask for a better outcome from a tour than for it to be a success that dates are continually being added. Thank you to everyone for all of your support, it’s because of all of you that this tour is what it is!”
The aptly named “Get Smart Tour” is Armiger’s first as a headliner and is hitting colleges, universities, fairs and festivals across the country. Armiger will be sure to play her hit songs including “Scream,” Kiss Me Now” and “Leaving Home,” while mixing in some new material that she’s been writing for her upcoming fourth album.
We had the chance to sit down with the very talented, and pretty, Katie Armiger. The young country music singer is a rising star on the charts, and who is often compared to Sara Evans and Martina McBride. Katie has been hitting the road hard the last year, including a “Get Smart” college headlining tour this year. Katie shares how she came up with that name, how excited she is over her single “Scream,” why she is more active on Twitter than Facebook, how she’d love to record with Blake Shelton and Keith Urban, and more.

Katie Armiger is getting ready to head out on her 26-city “Get Smart” tour this year. The rising star is one of country music’s brightest independent artists and she’ll kick off the tour on March 23rd in West Hartford, CT. The tour is proudly sponsored by Great American Country (GAC) which brings country music to 62 million homes across the United States. Katie’s latest single “Scream” from her third studio album “Confessions Of A Nice Girl” is climbing the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and the video is in the fan-voted GAC Top 20 Countdown for the fifth week in a row.
GAC is pretty excited about this partnership with Katie:
“We’ve watched Katie grow up before our eyes and through her videos on GAC,” said GAC President Ed Hardy. “We are thrilled to be part of her first national tour and look forward to sharing in her ongoing successes as her career progresses. GAC is proud to help new artists, such as Katie was, have a national TV platform on GAC to help grow their careers.”
Katie had given her fans the power to choose the name of her tour through social media. It’s her first headlining tour in the United States, and she’ll make stops at colleges, universities, and major fairs and festivals across the country. The tour will go on through to August of this year and Katie will be with a full band and will perform some of her fan favorite songs including “Scream,” “Kiss Me Now,” “Leaving Home, “Best Song Ever,” and “I Do, But Do I?” as well as new material from her new album. She spent much of last year touring with Darius Rucker, Ronnie Dunn, Little Big Town, Kellie Pickler and Luke Bryan.
“It’s every artist’s dream to headline their own tour and to be able to do so with GAC’s support is amazing – I am so grateful to them for supporting my career,” said Katie. “I chose “Get Smart” for the obvious reason of where we are performing but also as a bit of tongue-in-cheek because I do plan to soak everything in and learn whatever I can on the road. I cannot wait to get out there.”

Whitney Houston’s impact on the music world spread far beyond pop and R&B. Country stars were also influenced by the Houston, who died this past Sunday.
A little proof of this was seen Monday night in Phoenix, AZ. That’s where Katie Armiger (along with Thompson Square) was taking part in the KMLE “Partners In Hope Concert” benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Armiger finished her set with her current single “Scream.” But she topped it off with a tip of the hat to Houston, by mashing-up the song with the always stirring “I Will Always Love You.” (Yes, it was originally Dolly Parton’s song but Whitney made it hers.)
The mash-up starts at about the 2:40 mark. Two things to watch for: 1) the crowd’s reaction at the end of the song and 2) the percussionist on the right who really seems to be enjoying the moment! (But then again, maybe he’s always that way…)
Cold River Records artist Katie Armiger has got to be feeling just a little bit excited this week. She’s just announced that she’ll make her first-ever Grand Ole Opry performance on September 23rd at the Opry stage in Nashville. Her debut performance is part of the 7 pm CST show.
“Performing on the GRAND OLE OPRY is a dream come true for me,” said Katie. “I am truly honored and thankful to be able to take that legendary stage and perform. This is a huge milestone and I couldn’t be more excited – especially around the release of the deluxe album.”
She’ll also be releasing the deluxe version of her “Confessions Of A Nice Girl (The True Confessional)” album on September 20th; three days before the appearance. The release will feature four original songs including her current single “I Do But Do I,” and new songs “Worth It,” a dance remix of “Best Song Ever,” and an acoustic version of “Cry, Cry, Cry.”
Katie Armiger of Cold River Records had her website hacked by an unnamed person or group on Sunday. Thousands of ugly messages were sent out to 65,000 of the singer’s fans by the hacker that were vulgar and offensive in nature. No one has yet been named as the parties involved in the breach, but the label has promised the security hole has been fixed since and issued out an apology to her fans today.
“As you may have heard, KATIE’s website was hacked and over 65,000 e-mails went out that were offensive and vulgar. MUSIC CITY NETWORKS has fixed the security breach and hopefully this won’t happen to any other artist. We know who did it and we have his online confession. The hacker’s e-mail targeted KATIE’s fans and did not target Country radio. KATIE is the world’s biggest sweetheart and wants all of her friends and supporters at Country radio to know that she loves and cherishes their outpouring of support and well wishes through this malicious attack.” – Pete O’Heeron, President Cold River Records.
Armiger is set to open for Darius Rucker this Friday in Atchinson, Kansas. Arminger released “Confessions Of A Nice Girl” last year. She’s currently promoting her latest single from the album, “I Do, But Do I?”
