Patrick Davis Releases “The Cuts-Volume 1″
EMI Nashville Singer-Songwriter, Patrick Davis has been writing songs made famous by artists like Lady Antebellum, Casey James, Darius Rucker, Josh Kelley, Pat Green and Jason Michael Carroll for over a decade. Davis decided to release an album with his version of some of those hit songs. The result? The Cuts-Volume 1 was released, Friday, July 20th on Itunes and www.PatrickDavisMusic.com.
Cracker Barrel Connects with Country Music Fans at CMA Fest
Cracker Barrel has become a home for country music and Americana, so it’s only fitting for the restaurant to be a part of 2012 CMA Music Fest. Thanks to Cracker Barrel, fans will have the opportunity to meet artists, catch performance and win prizes from artists who have participated in Cracker Barrel’s exclusive music program.
“The success of the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store exclusive music program is really due to the passion of the fans,” explains the program’s marketing manager, Julie Craig. ”We want to have a chance to meet them and say thank you, as well as introduce new fans to the great music available at their local Cracker Barrel.”
Artists participating in this include Josh Turner, Jason Michael Carroll, The Oak Ridge Boys, Eden’s Edge and more.
Representatives from Cracker Barrel and the Cracker Barrel exclusive music program will be on location at both Fan Fair Hall as well as Riverfront Park throughout the festival:

Please remember that autograph guidelines have changed for this year’s CMA Fest. Here is a highlight of how the new procedure works:
Fans will now enter a random drawing for the opportunity to meet various artists appearing in the Fan Fair Exhibit Hall. You will be able to enter the drawing at CMAfest.com. between May 14 (starting at 10:00 AM/CT) and May 28 (ending at 5:00 PM/CT). You will enter in your contact information and then select from the list of participating artists singing autographs in the Hall. You may select as many or as few artists as you’d like to meet. Once you submit your entry, you will not be allowed to go back in and change it so choose carefully! Duplicate entries will not be considered and all winners will be notified by Friday, June 1 via email.
CMA will also have a limited number of tickets on-site at the Festival for those who can’t get to a computer to register ahead of time. For more information on this, please see the Fan Fair Hall page at CMAfest.com.
Not every artist participating in the Fan Fair Hall will be part of the autograph drawing. There will be many opportunities for patrons to obtain multiple autographs from artists by just walking around the Fan Fair Hall. So don’t lose hope if you don’t get picked!

Exclusive Interview: Patrick Davis
Recently, I had the pleasure of talking to Patrick Davis, who is a singer-songwriter in Nashville. Born in nearby Murfreesboro and raised on a farm in South Carolina, Patrick has written with people like Dallas Davidson, Lady Antebellum, Jason Michael Carroll and others. He helped produce Jason Michael’s latest album and has a cut on Lady Antebellum’s ‘Own The Night’ record. (Check out the song, “The Love I’ve Found In You” on that album. It really is one of the best tracks on it.) Patrick is working on establishing himself as an artist and is current single, ‘Lucky,’ may do just that. I caught up with Patrick after he had spent about six weeks on the road doing a radio tour. We talked about the single, upcoming album plans and the country superstar who will be producing the project, the song that is the most personal to him and why and his plans for next year’s CMA Fest. Scotty McCreery Returns to the Opry
Scotty McCreery has joined Dierks Bentley, Sara Evans, Eric Church and Montgomery Gentry in the lineup for the Grand Ole Opry on October 11th. You can see the schedule Here.
Scotty first performed at the Opry on June 10, 2011 during the CMA Music Festival with Lauren Alaina.
Scotty is also set to perform at the QDR Country for the Kids concert in Durham, North Carolina on Wednesday, November 30th. Also in the lineup are Brantley Gilbert, David Nail, Jerrod Niemann and Jason Michael Carroll. All proceeds go to the North Carolina Children’s Hospital. Tickets start at $50.

The Seventh Annual CMA Music Festival Kick-Off Parade” will begin at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 8, and will feature artists and celebrities riding down Broadway in a variety of Chevrolet vehicles including Corvettes and Silverados. The parade will start at 10th Avenue and end up at Chevrolet Riverfront Park.
