Congratulations to country’s very own Brantley Gilbert and Jana Kramer! The pair announced their engagement earlier this week. Brantley popped the big question on Sunday night at the historic Ryman Auditorium in downtown Nashville, Tennessee.
In an interview with People magazine, Brantley shared:
“We could not be happier! We are so excited to share this special time with our loved ones and cannot wait to start the rest of our lives together.”
“I was so surprised! He asked my mom for permission before he proposed, which meant a lot to me.”
Jana will be heading to Kansas on Monday, February 11th to perform a special benefit concert for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Tickets are already on-sale and are available at KDFI.com for only $15 each!
Brantley will be making his acting debut on ABC’s hit drama “Nashville” tonight. Catch the episode at 9 pm CST / 10 pm EST on ABC. Chris Young will also appear on the episode, and both country stars will play themselves, as they attend a party thrown by main character Rayna James.
Looks like we’ll be seeing Jana Kramer back in an acting role next year! She’s starring in an independent film titled “Heart of the Country,” as Faith – a country girl who returns to Southern life after her husband is accused of white-collar criminal charges. Jana formerly starred on the tv series One Tree Hill, so acting isn’t out of the ordinary for the country singer.
While there is no major distributor for the movie, it was produced by Bayridge Films and shot in Cape Fear over the Summer. The film is still in production and is expected for release in early 2013. Producers have said that it will be seen by the public, with hopes that a deal will happen when the movie is in post-production.
Check out the trailer for the movie below and let us know if you’re planning on catching it when it’s released.
Brantley Gilbert let a pretty big secret slip during a recent radio interview. Turns out the country rocker has been dating actress-turned-singer Jana Kramer. The pair met for the first time while at the CMT Awards this past June. During an interview with Atlanta radio station WKHX’s morning show, Brantley admitted that they were a couple. Cadillac Jack, one of the morning show personalities, saw a picture of Brantley in Jana’s bunk while interviewing her on her bus last week.
After much persuasion from the show’s hosts, Brantley finally said:
“To answer your question, yes. And and I’m a very, very happy man. Yes, I am with Jana Kramer.”
Listen to the full interview here on the podcast and let us know what you think about country music’s newest couple.
Elektra Nashville’s Jana Kramer, Sony Music Nashville’s Tyler Farr, and Warner Music Nashville’s Charlie Worsham will be teaming up for a very special cause this October. The three artists will be playing a special benefit show for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) at the Tin Roof 2 on October 3rd. The Tin Roof 2 is located just outside Nashville, Tennessee. The show kicks off at 7 pm CST with tickets available for only $20 each at the door. The evening will be hosted by GAC personality Suzanne Alexander.
Not only will there be live music, but fans will also be able to purchase food, drinks and items from a silent auction. Since 1989, LLS has raised over $1 billion for the fight against blood cancer. It’s also helped to fund the development and research of 37 different crucial anti-cancer medications and drugs.
Congratulations to Jana Kramer at the team at Elektra Nashville! Her hit single “Why Ya Wanna” was just certified gold by the RIAA for selling more than 500,000 digital copies since its release. The former One Tree Hill star broke a record with her single’s release earlier this year when it made the quickest jump into the top 30 on Country Aircheck for any debut in the chart’s history, the fastest for a debut single ever. Her debut self-titled country record came out earlier this year.
In other Jana news, she was just announced as the new jingle singer for Nationwide Insurance’s “On Your Side” advertisements. Her voice will be featured nationwide on the new ads coming out this year, which had made its debut during the Summer Olympics a few weeks ago.
Warner Music Nashville’s Jana Kramer became an honorary Friends & Family member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum this week. The singer received her membership just before hitting the stage as part of the Museum’s members only “Hot Nights At The Hall” concert series on Friday, July 13th. ACM Lifting Lives Music Camp just concluded a week in Nashville with campers from across America participating in various activities and excursions around Nashville. The Camp has two purposes: a study of Williams syndrome and other developmental disabilities and providing music enrichment through performance and education.
The camp featured a Monday songwriting session led by Brett Eldredge and David Lee Murphy, who led campers in a songwriting session, creating “We’re Having a Party,” an original song based on campers’ personal experiences and inspirations.
Later in the week, on Thursday, Jana Kramer stopped by the Vanderbilt campus for a cookout and sing-a-long. The camp wrapped on Friday at the Grand Ole Opry with a performance from Big & Rich. Additionally, the campers performed “We’re Having a Party.”
Check out the photos from this incredible week!
Throughout the week, the 3rd Annual ACM Lifting Lives Music Camp has been taking place in Nashville, TN with some of country’s famous faces volunteering their time to help out. The music camp is a week-long residential program open nationwide to those with developmental disabilities who are talented in music. ACM Lifting Lives camp has partnered with the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities, which is for individuals who have been diagnosed with Williams Syndrome, a genetic disorder similar to Autism but with musical ability or intense music interest. ACM Lifting Lives funds the costs of the camp, which allows the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities to enhance their training and research and to dedicate their service to improving the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
So far this week, the campers have had the opportunity to participate with some of country’s biggest stars, including Lauren Alaina, Luke Bryan, Brett Eldredge, Jana Kramer, and hit singer/songwriter David Lee Murphy and producer Paul Worley.
