The 2012 CMA Music Festival is creeping upon us (who am I kidding, we’ve all been counting down the days since last year), and now it’s time to officially start planning your daytime CMA Fest activities! 40+ names were announced today for the lineup at the Chevrolet riverfront stage, starting on June 7th at 10am. Kicking off the festivities at the riverfront will be Montgomery Gentry. The rest are listed below!

Blair Garner, host of After MidNite and winner of the 2011 ACM “National On-Air Personality of the Year” award, will take his show to Vegas this weekend for a variety of events and a post-show broadcast from the Academy of Country Music’s 47th Annual ACM Awards. Garner will be hosting the Fremont Street Experience, a free concert that takes place tonight and Saturday, March 31, for the third year in a row. Artists set to perform are Love and Theft, Hunter Hayes, Brantley Gilbert, Scotty McCreery, Luke Bryan, Jana Kramer, Craig Campbell, Eli Young Band, Laura Bell Bundy and Eric Church.
Right after the 47th Annual ACM Awards show telecast on CBS on Sunday, April 1, After MidNite will broadcast from its remote studio backstage, interviewing artists immediately after their ACM Awards experience. Artists ste to appear are Little Big Town, Luke Bryan, David Nail, Kip Moore, Easton Corbin, Lauren Bell Bundy, Jake Owen, Brantley Gilbert, Scotty McCreery, Dustin Lynch, James Wesley, Hunter Hayes, Thompson Square, Randy Houser, Zac Brown Band, Craig Campbell, Uncle Kracker, Eli Young Band, The Band Perry and some surprise guests. A special segment featuring Blake Shelton will also air. The After MidNite remote studio is sponsored by Great American Country and Green Mountain Coffee, which will provide the artists with free coffee.
You can catch the After MidNite ACM Awards special broadcast the morning of April 2 (from midnight to 6 a.m.) and portions will re-air the weekend of April 7-8. The 17th Annual Inspirational Country Music Awards nominees were announced yesterday in Nashville, Tennessee, and a lot of today’s major stars earned some nods. Carrie Underwood, The Band Perry, Rascal Flatts, Lady Antebellum, Ronnie Dunn, Josh Turner, Ricky Skaggs, George Strait, and Randy Travis were just some of the stars nominated in one of the 22 main categories for the 2011 ICM Awards.
The categories were voted on by members in a variety of different honors like entertainer, song, new artist, group, songwriter, duo, musician, radio station, film, and television. The top 5 finalists in each category will be announced on August 30th. The Oak Ridge Boys, Randy Travis and Susie McEntire are up for the legend/pioneer title.
The 2011 ICM Faith, Family & Country Awards will run October 24th to the 28th in Nashville.

The Seventh Annual CMA Music Festival Kick-Off Parade” will begin at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 8, and will feature artists and celebrities riding down Broadway in a variety of Chevrolet vehicles including Corvettes and Silverados. The parade will start at 10th Avenue and end up at Chevrolet Riverfront Park.
Confirmed to participate in the parade is Deborah Allen, Lynn Anderson, Katie Armiger, Sherrie Austin, Bo Bice, Bomshel, Ash Bowers, Crystal Bowersox, Lee Brice, Carter’s Chord, Dailey & Vincent, Sarah Darling, Billy Dean, Dirt Drifters, Eli Young Band, Tyler Farr, Ashley Gearing, Andy Griggs, The Harters, Walker Hayes, Her & Kings County, Ty Herndon, JT Hodges, Steve Holy, Buddy Jewell, Jason Jones, LoCash Cowboys, Lunabelles, Miss Willie Brown, The Roys, Daryle Singletary, Stealing Angels, Josh Thompson, Tiffany, Rhonda Vincent, and Mark Wills. Both The Oak Ridge Boys and Bill Anderson will serve as Grand Marshalls for the event.

Steel Magnolia and Joe Nichols are the latest acts added on to the Country Weekly Fashion Show lineup. The event is part of the Musician’s on Call program, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in America. Both Steel Magnolia and Nichols will perform at the event, while other country stars will walk the catwalk. Hosted by Suzanne Alexander, the full list of participants is below the cut. This year marks the 21st year the City of Hope Softball Celebrity Challenge has taken place during CMA Fest in Nashville. The softball game will take place on Saturday, June 9th at 9 a.m. at Greer Stadium in Nashville, TN.
Artists announced so far for this year are Vince Gill, Dierks Bentley, David Nail, Brett Eldredge, Chuck Wicks, Jake Owen, James Wesley, Josh Gracin and Point of Grace. The game benefits the City of Hope, a research, treatment and education institution for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases.
The 2011 British Country Music Award nominations were announced this morning, and some familiar names have made the cut overseas. Brad Paisley, Lady Antebellum, Toby Keith, the Zac Brown Band and the Secret Sisters have all earned nominations in the International Act of the Year category. It’s the only category that contains international names, but it’s great to see country music is alive and well across the world!
