Little Big Town.

Even more tour news this week for country fans! Little Big Town—consisting of members Karen Fairchild, Jimi Westbrook, Phillip Sweet and Kimberly Schlapman—will be launching a new tour entitled The Tornado Tour January 31, 2013 in Murray, KY.

Fresh off of the success of their #1 album, “Tornado”, Little Big Town along with special guests Kacey Musgraves and David Nail (in select cities) will hit over 25 cities nationwide in some of the most beautiful theaters the US and Canada have to offer.

The group is pretty excited about the tour, and their two friends they’re bringing along for the ride, according to Kimberly:

“We’ve been looking forward to announcing this tour for so long and can’t wait to hit the road next year. It’s going to be so much fun to share more music from this record with our fans and we feel very honored to have Kacey and David opening for us. They’re incredible artists. This new album means so much to us and to be able to showcase all of these songs is a dream come true.”

Kacey Musgraves, one of Nashville’s hottest new young talents, is just as excited to hit the road with the group. She shares:

“I can’t wait to kick off the new year with Little Big Town. As a musician and fan I couldn’t be more proud to be a part of this amazing show. Theaters alone project a special vibe for live music and adding Little Big Town’s sound to that will be magical.”

David Nail explains why it’s so important to be out on the road with people you love:

“The only thing better than being on the road, is being out on the road with people who’re friends. Being able to get out there with Little Big Town is gonna be a big time – and I can’t wait.”

MCA Nashville’s David Nail was forced to cancel his show Friday night due to a doctor ordered vocal rest. He was scheduled to play in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on the 19th but suffered a sudden case of laryngitis. After consulting with a medical professi0nal, he was told to cancel his show and go on immediate vocal rest.

David shared the bad news on Twitter before his show was supposed to happen:

“Voice in bad shape … Needing a miracle. Gonna go as long as I can tonight! Scary situation for any singer when the sound won’t come … Say a prayer for my chords!”

David was able to perform Saturday night in Chicago on October 20th. No future tour dates are expected to be affected by the vocal rest. His latest album “1979″ is available digitally right now, and features his hit cover of Adele’s “Someone Like You.”
