EXCLUSIVE: Interview with Krystal Keith
It’s been a pretty big last few weeks for Krystal Keith. The Show Dog Universal artist released her self-titled EP, and debut music video “Daddy Dance With Me.” We had the chance to speak to Krystal earlier this month about the release of her EP, music video, and the best advice she’s ever gotten for the industry, her upcoming full-length album “Whiskey & Lace,” surprising her dad, Toby Keith, at her wedding, crashing the stage as a child at her dad’s show, why she thinks Miranda Lambert is so bad-ass, and much more.

Pistol Annies’ Album, “Annie Up,” Available Now
It is one of the most anticipated country albums this year. The Annies – Miranda Lambert, Ashley Monroe, and Angaleena Presley – are back with their sophomore record, Annie Up.
These talented ladies are as fierce as ever. They exude strength, female empowerment and sisterhood, and you just want to kick back and hang with them.
Their lead single “Hush, Hush” is currently making its way up the charts, and the girls will be busy promoting their new album over the next couple of weeks.

I have listened to Annie Up a few times this week, and I give it the highest of recommendations. In my opinion, it is one of the best albums of 2013 so far and I think it will hugely successful. My pre-order is already on its way. Don’t forget to get your copy!

CMT Music Awards Nominations Announced
Earlier today, the nominations for the 2013 CMT Music Awards were revealed. With Luke Bryan and Miranda Lambert leading with four nominations each, as well as Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Florida Georgia Line and Rascal Flatts following with three a piece, the show is sure to be a good one! Fan voting is now available at www.cmt.com through Sunday, June 2nd at midnight EST.
The show, which will be hosted by Jason and actress Kristen Bell, will air LIVE from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Wednesday, June 5th at 8PM EST.
Miranda Lambert is No. 1 With “Mama’s Broken Heart”
Miranda Lambert has a 5th number one single on her hands! She is at the top of the Country Mediabase chart this week with “Mama’s Broken Heart.”
The song is the fourth single off of her Four The Record album, and it has some familiar counrtry names attached to it. Penned by Kacey Musgraves, Shane McAnally, and Brandy Clark, the track has seen great success as well as critical acclaim and deservingly so. In my opinion, it’s one of the best country singles this year!

Country stars react to George Jones’ passing
It’s been a tragic few days for country music stars and country fans. The legendary George Jones passed away in a Nashville hospital, and country stars have reacted in shock and sadness over the loss of an icon. See what some of your favorite stars have said about the great George Jones:
“George Jones’ life is an example of so many wonderful things. How someone’s God-given gifts can make this a richer, better place. How one human being can overcome adversity, addiction, and life threatening obstacles time and time again. That it is not the stumble or fall that counts, but the willingness to stand again. How a keen sense of humor and a twinkle in a person’s eye can still prevail even after all of life’s hard knocks. How mistakes, missteps, and bad choices are not the end of the world if a person chooses to turn them into something good. Look out Pistol Annies fans! The trio will be kicking off their national television appearances in support of their brand new album “Annie Up” with a performance on NBC’s TODAY Show. The all-girls trio will perform their lead single “Hush Hush” from their upcoming record due out on May 7th. Miranda Lambert shares golden rules to marriage
Miranda Lambert has had enough of the tabloid rumors about her marriage to Blake Shelton. In an exclusive interview with US Weekly, which was sent to us, she explains why she’ll always stand by her man, and shares her golden rules to a happy marriage.
Miranda tells the magazine that even with the normal ups and downs of a marriage, divorce is NOT an option for the pair.

Here’s her golden rules for a happy marriage:
1) The twosome have promised to not spend more than two weeks apart.
2) They don’t keep secrets. The couple has each other’s phone passwords, so no more snooping!
3) They stay in touch. “We talk at least once a day, and we text a lot,” she says.
4) They plan downtime. “We hang out as best friends,” she tells Us. “Me and Blake have full-on parties by ourselves, listening to music.”
5) He has to please the missus. Lambert made demands for the pair’s L.A. rental home: “I told him he would have to get me a place with a pool and a yard for the dogs, and he did!’

Taylor Swift launches her own shoe line
Looks like the cool new thing to do in country music is to start your own shoe line. Less than three weeks after Miranda Lambert announced her own shoe line will hit stores in 2014, country’s superstar Taylor Swift announced today that she will be releasing her own next month. It’s an expansion with her project with Keds last fall, which she released a limited edition red shoe in honor of her album “Red” on Big Machine. Now Taylor will have an entire line with Keds Champion Sneakers with all sorts of fun designs – stars, animal paw prints, stripes, guitars, sunglasses, and other cute girly prints.
