POLL: Should Kacey Musgraves Have Been Censored at the CMAs?

Kacey Musgraves CMAs

CMA New Artist of the Year, Kacey Musgraves, was censored during her performance of her single, “Follow Your Arrow.” at the CMA Awards on Wednesday night. The word targeted was “joint” and it was bleeped out of the ABC television broadcast. Twitter was abuzz with whether the censorship was necessary. It seemed a bit surprising since content much more inappropriate is and was permitted to be aired. All I have to say is that if drug references were always censored from broadcast TV, some hip-hop artists may have no lyrics left to sing.

Anyway, we want to know your opinion. Do you think Musgraves’ “joint” lyric should have been censored?
