Average Joe’s recording artist Corey Smith felt right at home at Billy Bob’s Fort Worth in Texas last night. It was his first-ever show at the legendary venue, and he played to an energetic crowd of over 2,500 fans. One of the fans in attendance was Bull Riding champion Tuff Hedeman, who Corey describes as “one of the baddest guys who’s ever lived.” Tuff offered Corey his cowboy hat, which was the real highlight of the night for the singer:

“When Tuff Hedeman offers you a cowboy hat, you take it,” Smith says of receiving his first ever cowboy hat.  “It was quite an honor,” and a gesture Smith won’t soon forget.  He hopes to pass the treasure down to his sons one day.  “The night was everything I dreamed it would be and then so much more.”

During his time on the road, Corey has been keeping up with an online video journal to help him remember this point in his life and career. The latest v-log showcases his new song “Bend,” which was written backstage and performed at Billy Bob’s. To watch the video click HERE.

Colt Ford Releases Declaration of Independence TODAY!

Colt Ford.

Country music’s resident rapper, Colt Ford, released his brand new album “Declaration of Independence” to stores nationwide TODAY. The brand new studio album features collaborations with Jason Aldean, Wayna Morris of Boys II Men, Kix Brooks, Montgomery Gentry, Jake Owen, Darius Rucker, and many more country stars. The record was produced by Dan Huff (Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban), along with long-time collaborator Shannon “Fat Shan” Houchins.

“This album is very real and honest and by far the best record I’ve ever made,” Colt says with pride.  “The last two records—I stand up and cheer for them—but I tried to make a lot of people happy on the last two records and I took the edge off of it. On this record I put the edge back on there.”

“Declaration of Independence” is being released on Colt’s own Average Joe’s Entertainment. Over his career so far, Colt has already sold more than one million albums and over three million downloads of his songs. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see those numbers quickly rise with the guest stars lending their talents to Colt’s album.
