It’s no secret… We have a long-time crush on Blake Shelton that we do not see fading anytime soon.
Just when we thought we could not love Blake Shelton more, however, we read yet another super sweet thing about him. His better half, Miranda Lambert, shared with People Magazine (you can read the whole article here) this bit of info:
“He [Blake] said, ‘I have never had a problem with any way you look at any point – you are beautiful to me at any size and every size,’ ” she [Miranda] explained.
Can we get a collective “Aww!” right now?
Guys… take notes! These are the kinds of things that makes us girls very happy.
We’re also taking applications for Blake Shelton clones.
Oh Blake, Blake, Blake…Thanks for saying what we’re all thinking. It’s no secret that the Westboro Baptist Church has made Blake Shelton its latest target and Blake isn’t taking it lying down. He recently waged war on the “church” on Twitter, but yesterday, he made his feelings all the more clear.
In this video, obtained by TMZ, Blake is captured leaving Usher’s Birthday Bash with some candid words for the hate-spewing organization. Blake says, “Westboro Baptist Church can blow me…you can quote me on that.”
“I am thrilled and honored that so many of George’s friends are coming to what would have been his last concert, but is not a fitting tribute,” says Nancy Jones. “George loved these artists and before passing had actually wrote letters to almost all of them.”
The new list of performers will join an already star-studded lineup that includes Alan Jackson, Dierks Bentley, Travis Tritt, Tanya Tucker, Josh Turner, The Oak Ridge Boys, Charlie Daniels, Jamey Johnson, Montgomery Gentry, Sam Moore, and others. All previously announced artists are currently being reconfirmed.
With Canada’s biggest country music festival coming to an end two weeks ago for 2013, we have already found out the first major headliner for 2014. For the first time in three years, Blake Shelton will be returning to Ontario, for the first time with Boots and Hearts, in 2014. Next year’s festival will run from July 31st until August 3rd, 2014, in Bowmanville, Ontario.
Blake Shelton is now a part of a very special campaign. He has teamed up with Building For America’s Bravest (BFAB).
BFAB is a program of the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation that raises funds in order to build Smart Homes for our castatrophically injured service men and women. Their goal by the end of 2013 is to have built or broken ground on 23 Smart Homes.
In 2011, BFAB began constructing a home for the first ever quadruple amputee survivor, Army Specialist Brendan Marrocco. Marrocco spoke to the press last year after having a bilateral arm transplant, and he had said that the first person’s hand he wanted to shake once he was able to do so was Blake Shelton. Shelton heard about the story and promised to make it happen. (You can read the full story here) Now, Shelton is teaming up with BFAB to help our other military heroes.
The Voice finale for season 4 aired last night, and it’s a three-peat for Blake Shelton. The new Voice title went to Team Blake’s 16-year-old country singer, Danielle Bradbery.
Danielle was a favorite from early on in the competition. She consistently wowed the coaches and audience every week. The Voice was the first audition she ever had, but you would never know that watching her perform. She looked like a seasoned professional on the stage, and her top-notch vocals seemed effortless. Danielle has “it”… we are going to see a lot of her in country music!
Coach Blake has won the last three seasons of The Voice. We love getting to see Shelton mentor the contestants and help navigate their careers. He really is so wonderful with his team, and he truly sticks with them once the show is over.
It also happened to be Shelton’s birthday yesterday and I think the win was a pretty awesome present!
Fellow Team Blake members, The Swon Brothers, came in third place. Zach and Colton are on great duo and I think they are going to be very successful as well. I am still blown away by their version of “Danny’s Song.” It’s a must download from iTunes if you have not grabbed it yet.
I also want to recognize Team Usher member, Michelle Chamuel, who finished as the runner-up. She was so great this season as well and what a humble and gracious personality.
I truly think this was the best season of The Voice thus far. The talent was excellent, and Usher and Shakira were perfect additions for our two favorite guys, Blake and Adam.
Congratulations to Danielle and Blake, as well as The Swon Brothers & Michelle! We wish you all continued success with your music careers!
Until Season 5, Voice fans…

With quite the arsenal of celebrity friends, it’s only fitting for Blake Shelton to bring his new brand of redneck to all facets of the country world. He’s released a “Celebrity Mix” of his current single, “Boys ‘Round Here,” that is sure to have you “red-ing” along with the best of them.
