Sarah Davidson is setting herself up to be a breakout artist of 2014 with the release of her self-titled EP.
The EP, recorded in Nashville under the helm of producers Brian Kolb (Jerrod Niemann) and Dino Paredes (The Avett Brothers and Johnny Cash), is a 5-reflection of Davidson’s personal and professional growth over the last several years. “I want to put out music through my albums that tells a story, that is authentic to what my life is. Just basically living my life open and putting out music that parallels that.” says Davidson. The EP showcases Davidson’s broad range of musical style: from the audio come on of the debut single “Drink You Up”, to the poignant ballad “Get Out” and the breezy ode to youth “Ride Around”; there is sure to be something to appeal to every fan of country music.
Backed by the Suretone label and bolstered by being featured on TNT’s new unscripted drama Private Lives of Nashville Wives (debuting Feb 24 at 10/9 CT), as not only one of the stories they follow through the drama, but also penning and singing the series theme song “Bright Lights, Big City”, Davidson is sure to be poised for stardom.
“When we met Sarah while scouting in Nashville, we knew we wanted
to follow her journey as one of the main story lines of our
documentary-style TV series. Not only did her beautiful voice give us
goose bumps, but her passion to succeed, tempered with her vulnerability
convinced us that viewers will love her and will tune in each week to cheer
- Executive Producer, Doug Ross, Private Lives of Nashville Wives
“We are thrilled to welcome Sarah into the Suretone Entertainment family. She is exceedingly
talented and this debut EP really shows her diversity and range. Sarah is
one of those artists born with an empathy that shines through her music and
allows her to connect with her audience on a deeper level. With that and
the platform of the TNT series, we know this is just the beginning for
- Suretone Entertainment Chairman, Carl Stubner.
Suretone Entertainment plans to strategically rollout singles via iTunes in advance of the full EP. Suretone also announced today an exclusive deal with Walmart for the physical distribution of the EP beginning March 25 and iTunes will release the digital version that same day. Physical EP’s will be available everywhere retail is sold after the exclusivity period.
