While eagerly awaiting the announcement of 2014 tour dates, fans of Garth Brooks now have even more to look forward to!
Before hitting the road on a world tour, Brooks will play two shows in Dublin, Ireland at Croke Park; a venue he sold out twice in 1997 and has not played since.
“Before we go back on tour in the Fall of 2014, I want to challenge myself, the band and crew,” explains Brooks. “In ’97, we were lucky enough to play Croke Park, the stadium was under construction. 130,000-plus of some of the greatest fans in the world. I was quoted then as saying, ‘When this stadium is finished, I would love to come back and try to fill it again…this time to the brink’ — and we’re back to do just that.”
The country music legend made this announcement today in the Dublin venue, calling the event occurring July 25 and 26 “The Garth Brooks Comeback Special”. Tickets for both shows can be purchased through Ticketmaster beginning Thursday, January 30.
This special event is the perfect kick off to Brooks’ highly anticipated world tour beginning this fall. The superstar is surely up to the challenge and ready to make his dream of filling the stadium again a reality. We can’t wait to see what he has in store for us next!
