Kelly Clarkson Apologizes to International Fans

Kelly Clarkson Christmas

As you likely have heard, newlyweds Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock are expecting their first child together, which was announced weeks after their recent marriage. Kelly has revealed in recent interviews, as well as through social media, that the pregnancy has not been easy on her body thus far, and that she has been experiencing her fair share of related sickness.

Taking to Twitter on Sunday, Kelly apologized to her fans for being “incredibly ill” and hoped that she would be feeling back to normal soon. Kelly tweeted “I’m so sorry 2 all my fans overseas 4 not doing promo 4 my Xmas album. I have been incredibly ill w/pregnancy. Hopefully it gets better soon.”

During appearances on the Today Show and The Voice, the mama-to-be opened up about her pregnancy sickness. “It’s all day and all night! I’m just looking forward to the second trimester!”

The superstar and her husband, Brandon, were incredibly anxious to share the exciting news about Baby Blackstock, but the happy couple decided to wait until she was further along in the pregnancy. That was until they decided to make the announcement earlier than planned after Kelly had to cancel a performance due to her sickness. “I had to cancel something because I’d been so ill, so I didn’t want people to think I was canceling [because] I was lazy or something, so we just told people. But we had a really good reason,” she said.

Although it may be too early to know for sure, Kelly said she has a feeling she is expecting a girl. “She’s killing me,” said Kelly. “Of course it’s a girl – causing the trouble.”

For those fans who have not yet picked up Wrapped In Red, it is available in stores and on iTunes now. This is definitely a Christmas album you will want playing as you open your gifts on Christmas Eve/Day!
