CMA Songwriters Series heading to Boston with Miranda Lambert

The Country Music Association (CMA) Songwriters Showcase is heading back to Boston with a pretty big star. Texan firecracker Miranda Lambert will headline the July 11th date at the Royale Boston Nightclub. The intimate sessions will also feature Kip Moore, Brett James, and Robert DiPiero. Tickets went on-sale Friday through cmaworld.com and ticketmaster.com.

CMA CEO Steve Moore is pretty excited about taking the best of Nashville’s writers on the road. He said:

“Nashville’s songwriters are the best in the world and CMA is excited to return to Boston to showcase some of these spectacular artists again. It’s great to see how this series has grown since it began in 2005, expanding to play in cities across the U.S., and overseas in places like the U.K. and Paris. Bostonhas given us such a warm reception and we are thrilled to continue to share the remarkable stories behind the hit songs with the terrific fans there.”

Each CMA Songwriters Series showcases the best of country music’s writers in an intimate, personal setting. Each songwriter takes turns on-stage, with a guitar, and explain what inspired them to write hit songs for themselves or other artists, and then play the original version for fans in attendance.
