American Idol winner Scotty McCreery gave back to the community on the weekend. He made a big donation to the Nashville chapter of Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) as part of the non-profit organization’s Opening Day events. The RBI’s Opening Day ran the same time as the MLB’s Jackie Robison Day.
Scotty threw the first pitch at the community game at Nashville’s Seven Oaks Park, and visited with the participants.
The organization describes itself as: “Nashville RBI uses baseball and softball and the power of teams to provide inner city youth with opportunities to play, to learn and to grow, inspiring them to recognize their potential and realize their dreams.”
