Canadian country artist Johnny Reid was recognized at The 2013 JUNO Awards this past Sunday with the award for COUNTRY ALBUM OF THE YEAR, sponsored by Potashcorp. The artist saw himself facing great competition in the category from other great talent, including Dallas Smith, Chad Brownlee, Emerson Drive and Dean Brody.
Fire It Up, the winning album, is the seventh studio album for Johnny. After being released last spring, the album reached number two on the Canadian Albums Chart and was also certified platinum. It includes duets from Canadians Serena Ryder and Carolyn Dawn Johnson.
