RCA Nashville’s Chris Young will be one of the very special guests at tonight’s Tennessee Tree Lightning Ceremony at the Tennessee State Capitol at 5:30 pm CST. The Tennessee native will also perform during the ceremony, which will last until 7 pm CST at Nashville’s War Memorial Plaza. The event is free and open to the public. The event will also haveĀ horse and carriage rides, food trucks, an appearance by Santa Claus, and a chance for kids to meet Santa’s new reindeer Snowflake.
The tree chosen this year is a 30 foot tall Norway Spruce from Arlington, Tennessee. The tree will be decorated with over 6,000 lights for the ceremony tonight.
