It’s been a big week for The Band Perry. The country music trio released their brand new single “Better Dig Two” to iTunes, and it topped the chart with over 82,000 sales already! The siblings are also the most added at country radio since they sent out the lead single from their sophomore album after performing it live on the Country Music Association (CMA) Awards. It also became a trending topic on Twitter after their performance, which many of our readers said was one of the main highlights of the entire broadcast.
“Better Dig Two” quickly catapulted into the iTunes Country Singles Chart Top 10 before nailing the #1 spot and locking in the #3 position on the Overall Top Singles Chart. “Better Dig Two” was the most added at Country radio according to both Country Aircheck/Mediabase and Billboard with a total of 93 monitored stations on by add date. The sibling trio’s latest offering will be featured on their forthcoming sophomore album on Republic Nashville, slated for release in April 2013.
Preceding the awards, The Band Perry (TBP) delivered the single to Country radio and met with several stations on location in Nashville. Kimberly, Reid and Neil spoke to on-air personalities about “Better Dig Two,” calling it “the ultimate love song … the kind of love not even death can separate.”
The Band Perry will soon release the “Better Dig Two” video, which they shot just outside of Nashville on Friday with director Declan Whitebloom. They rounded out the weekend back in front of the camera, taping the “CMA Country Christmas” special, which will air on ABC on December 20 and 22. The Perry’s will head to Europe this week for shows in Sweden, Norway, Ireland and the UK.
The band has three nominations at next month’s American Country Awards, including Artist of the Year: Group and in early 2013, they will hit the road with Rascal Flatts‘ “CHANGED TOUR.”
