Blake Shelton Reacts To CMA Nominations

Blake Shelton might be just about everywhere the last two years, but that doesn’t mean he still isn’t shocked over his nomination for Entertainer of the Year with this year’s CMA awards. The nominations were announced this morning on Good Morning America for the November 1st award show. Blake has the second-most nominations going into the award show, tied with his wife, Miranda Lambert. They’re also a select few group of married couples who have had a song they’ve co-written nominated for an award with Miranda’s “Over You.”

Blake shares:

“I never get tired of these ‘Oh-My-God-How-Did-This-Happen?!!’ moments. Thank you to country radio and everyone who casts a CMA vote. I am truly honored.”

He has nominations in multiple categories including Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Single of the Year with “God Gave Me You,” and as a songwriter in Song Of The Year for “Over You” and Song Of The Year for “God Gave Me You.”
