Ashton Shepherd Dropped From MCA Nashville

Talented singer-songwriter Ashton Shepherd has been quietly dropped from her label MCA Nashville and Universal Music Group. She’s released two albums on MCA Nashville – her 2008 record “Sounds So Good,” and 2011’s “Where Country Grows.” She’s the second artist this month to part ways with the label, who also called it quits with LeAnn Womack.

Ashton is reportedly looking for songs for a brand new album, but has not yet announced a new label home. We here at Keepin’ it Country wish her luck and can’t wait to hear what she has next in store!

2012 has seen quite a bit of change in country music – Ronnie Dunn, Kellie Pickler, LeAnn Womack, and Josh Thompson are just some of country music’s stars who have left their label homes.
