The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum announced this week that Taylor Swift will have a special exhibit running from June 6th until November 4th, 2012. “Taylor Swift: Speak Now – Treasures From The World Tour” will feature dozens of costumes, instruments, pieces from the set, and the props used on Taylor’s 2011-2012 Speak Now World Tour. Her tour was seen by over 1.5 million fans in over 111 shows in 19 countries.
“Taylor Swift’s Speak Now tour was one of the most successful tours in all of music, and she has been an ambassador for Country music, raising awareness of our genre literally around the globe,” said Museum Director Kyle Young. “We are delighted to be able to bring our visitors up close and personal with many of their favorite elements from the show, from the colorful and elaborate stage costumes and beautiful instruments, to the magnificent ‘Juliet balcony’ that Taylor entered near the conclusion of each show and ‘flew’ around the circumference of each venue.”
It was also announced earlier this month that Taylor has donated $4 million to the Hall of Fame to open up a Taylor Swift Education Center. Her donation was the largest ever made by an artist to the Hall of Fame and Museum 45-year history.
