Illness has forced Eric Church to cancel his scheduled show for tonight (4/29) in Bloomington, Illinois.
Church was set to play at US Cellular Coliseum, but canceled the show late in the day after deciding his voice wasn’t strong enough to sing.
The “Springsteen” singer released the following statement on his website:
“I’m so disappointed. I apologize to everybody for having to cancel tonight’s show. I’ve played shows with injuries before but unfortunately cannot overcome having no voice. I hate that this came so late in the day but I’ve tried everything I know of to get it back and wanted to give it as much time as I could to try and make the show happen. To the fans that were planning on attending, I owe you one.”
Fans with tickets to the canceled show are encouraged to visit Eric’s official site (www.ericchurch.com) for information on how to get a refund.
Church’s next scheduled show is this coming Thursday, May 3 in Springfield, MO. Here’s hoping “The Chief” is back up to full strength by then!
(Note: The canceled show is in Bloomington, Illinois and not Bloomington, Indiana as originally posted here. Wrong Bloomington!)
