Tim McGraw Wraps Up Sold-Out Australian Tour
Country music superstar, and sometimes Hollywood actor, Tim McGraw set out on his first ever Australian tour with his wife, Faith Hill, this last month. Fans and critics were both excited over their appearances, counting down the days since 2011. Tim didn’t disappoint, as him and Faith performed for sold-out crowds in Adelaide, Brisbane, and Melbourne. They also set an attendance record at CMC Rocks The Hunter music festival in the country. The tour ended with another sold-out show at the Allphones Arena in Sydney.
“I’ve toured Australia before, and each time it gets better and better,” said Tim. “We had an awesome time traveling around the country and getting to meet and play for so many fans…they love their country music, and they really showed us a great time.”
Right after returning to North America, Tim will be heading off to Las Vegas for his performance at the 47th annual Academy of Country Music Awards on April 1st. Fans can catch his live performance during the telecast airing at 8 pm EST on CBS. He’ll make a special stop on the Ellen DeGeneres show on Wednesday, April 4th, and he’ll be performing during the ACM Presents: Lionel Richie & Friends In Concert special airing April 13th on CBS.
He isn’t slowing down after those appearances. He’ll be heading out on the road with Kenny Chesney on their “Brothers of The Sun Tour” which kicks off in June 2nd in Tampa, Florida. The coast-to-coast stadium tour will hit the nation’s biggest stadiums right through to August.
