Miranda Lambert Makes History

Miranda Lambert is having a case of the lucky threes. In this case, she just earned the highest debut of a music video ever in CMT’s history. Her brand new music video for “Over You” had its debut at number three on the CMT Top 20 Countdown – better than any other single in the chart’s history!

Her emotional music video was directed by Trey Fanjoy, and is a co-write with Miranda’s husband Blake Shelton. The pair wrote the song about the passing of Blake’s older brother when Blake was still a teenager. It’s the latest single from Miranda’s “Four The Record.” In just two weeks, the music video already has over 1.5 million views on Vevo.

Miranda is nominated for two Academy of Country Music Awards including Album of the Year for “Four The Record,” and Female Vocalist Of The Year. She has won the Female Vocalist of the Year for the past two years in a row. She’ll also perform on the April 1st award show on CBS at 8 pm EST.

In addition to the ACMs, Miranda is currently mentoring Team Blake contestants on NBC’s hit reality singing competition The Voice.
