If you’re into Red Dirt music, then the Redbull Gypsy Cafe is an event not to be missed! Returning for its second year on April 13th, it’s back and bigger than ever with even more musicians and brand new venues. The live music event celebrates nearly 30 years of singer-songwriters in acoustic-style duets. It all takes places in Stillwater, Oklahoma which is the birth place of Red Dirt music. Venues on Stillwater’s strip will host the acoustic duets, and headliners will be staggered by the hour to make sure fans are able to catch all their favorites, as well as some of the best home-grown talent in the genre.
While they’re in town, artists will celebrate at The Farm, where it’s considered to be where the genre’s most talented grew up. The event name, Gypsy Cafe, pays tribute to The Farm which has hosted spontaneous jam sessions over the years.
All proceeds from the event will go towards the Red Dirt Relief Fund, an organization founded and administered by Red Dirt musicians in Stillwater to act as a critical safety net for Red Dirt music people.
Festival passes will allow fans access to all events and start at only $25 each, or $20 with a valid student ID when purchased early online at protix.com. Prices will raise by $5 when bought in-person on the day of the event.
