Blake Shelton & Miranda Lambert Win New Music Weekly Awards

New Music Weekly magazine has announced their winners for their annual New Music Awards for 2012. The winners were chosen by polling from radio stations, fans, industry executives, and programmers. Not only does the magazine recognize major and independent artists; it also honors music labels, radio stations, programmers and industry professionals.

Taking home the country single of the year award is  Blake Shelton with “Honey Bee.” He was also named country male artist of the year, and his wife, Miranda Lambert, was named country female artist of the year. The Band Perry were named the country group/duo of the year, and Erica Nicole was named the best new country artist of 2012. Taylor Made, who we interviewed at CRS, are this year’s best new country group. Curb Records is the music label of the year according to the magazine.

The winners will be featured in a later New Music Weekly magazine issue that is currently in pre-production.
