Will Carrie Underwood’s “Good Girl” Join This Great Group?

We’re now in the final hours before the release of Carrie Underwood’s new single, “Good Girl.”  While we’re waiting, let’s take a look at the list this song is aiming to join:  Carrie’s #1 hits.

“Good Girl” will be the lead single from Carrie’s currently untitled fourth album.  The previous three albums (2005’s Some Hearts, 2007’s Carnival Ride and 2009’s Play On) all yielded at least three number one singles (based on the Billboard chart).  Here is the list:

From Some Hearts:  “Jesus, Take The Wheel,” “Before He Cheats” and “Wasted.”  She almost got a fourth #1 from her debut album, but “Don’t Forget To Remember Me” peaked at #2.

From Carnival Ride:  “So Small,” “All-American Girl,” “Last Name,” and “Just A Dream.” She almost scored a fifth #1 from this album, but “I Told You So” (featuring Randy Travis) finished at number 2.

From Play On:  “Cowboy Casanova,” “Temporary Home” and “Undo It”  all hit #1, while Mama’s Song finished at #2.

So far “Good Girl” is the only track we know about from Carrie’s upcoming album.  We certainly will be finding out a lot more as the album’s May 1 release date approaches.  Stay tuned!
