Sunny Sweeney Breaks A Record
Republic Nashville artist Sunny Sweeney broke a new record on Saturday, January 21st. She volunteered to be a part of the West Texas Rehabilitation Center’s telethon and raised over $1.3 million for the facility. The event, held at the Abilene Civic Center, fund raised to support the non-profit organization to see over 500 patients each day with a variety of physical, communication, and hearing disabilities or disorders.
Sunny served as the headlining performer at the telethon, which was broadcast on several Texas television stations on Saturday. The Longview, Texas native performed songs from her critically acclaimed album “Concrete” during the program.
Co-host of the legendary radio and television program Crook & Chase in the Morning, Charlie Chase, served as co-host on the evening for the 12th time.
