Lady Antebellum Kissing Gold & Double Platinum
Congratulations to country music super-group Lady Antebellum! Their single “Just A Kiss” was certified as double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for selling over two million digital downloads of the single. That’s not the only thing they’re celebrating today: it was also announced that “We Owned The Night” is now officially a gold single for selling over 500,000 digital copies.
“We’re planning a big party to celebrate both of these songs going No. one at radio, and now we’ll be able to toast this at the same time…and then we can do it again with our fans on the tour,” said Charles Kelley. “A little downtime over the holidays has been great, but we’re about to go crazy to get this tour back up and running next week….can’t wait to see everyone in Tulsa!”
The trio’s GRAMMY nominated-album “Own The Night” spawned both the chart-topping hits and is the inspiration for the group’s current “Own The Night 2012 World Tour.” The trio will be embarking on 57 dates across North America this year as part of the tour, and will kick off the next leg of the tour on Friday, January 27th in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Special guests Darius Rucker and Thompson Square are joining Lady A on the tour.
