What would you do if you were driving and saw two puppies by the side of the road? Would you keep going figuring somebody else would eventually show up to take care of them? Or would you stop to see if they were okay?
If you’re Carrie Underwood, you definitely stop.
That’s exactly what the country superstar did on December 30th while driving back to Nashville. She noticed two Labrador pups and pulled over to check on them. Sadly, one of the pups had died and the other was in pretty bad shape.
She took the surviving dog to a veterinarian, where it was treated for road rash and a bitten tongue. The vet told Carrie that the dogs had most likely been thrown from a moving vehicle.
Carrie took the dog to her place, but that served as a temporary home. The pup, which Carrie named Stella, has already been taken in by one of the singer’s neighbors.
The winner of the Female Artist of the Year at the recent American Country Awards is busy putting the finishing touches on her fourth album. Fortunately, she wasn’t too busy to pull over to check on the pup.
