Blake Shelton Will Co-Host ACM Awards With Reba Again

Some breaking news for country music fans this morning. Blake Shelton will return for the second year to co-host the Academy of Country Music Awards with Reba McEntire for the second straight year. The awards will take place on April Fool’s Day, April 1st, 2012 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The ACM Fan Jam will once again return to the Mandalay Bay, but this time hosted by the Zac Brown Band. Additional performers for the Fan Jam will be announced as the date gets closer.

On April 2nd, the Academy will host and record a tribute special to Lionel Richie. “ACM Presents: Lionel Richie and Friends – A Lifetime of Hits” will feature performances by Kenny Chesney, Martina McBride, Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, Kenny Rogers, Rascal Flatts, and others to be announced. The special will air on CBS at a later date.
