Once again, Taylor Swift is queen of the road when it comes to touring. According to Pollstar, the 22-year-old was the top touring country act in North America this past year. Her “Speak Now” tour played 80 North American shows with ticket sales of 1,365,618 and a gross of $97.7 million.
Irish rockers U2 finish as the top touring act both in North America and worldwide. Overall, Taylor’s tour placed fourth in the world. (Side note: Taylor will get some more “world” numbers this coming March when she tours in Australia and New Zealand.)
Taylor has some country company on the North America chart. Kenny Chesney ranks right behind her in 3rd place with 1,162,210 tickets sold and a gross of $84.6 million. Those numbers place Kenny 8th worldwide Back on the N. American chart, Jason Aldean ranks 23rd with grosses of $28.3 million and Keith Urban ranks 25th with a gross of $27.3 million.
