Rodney Atkins will officially return on Curb Records. He signed a new deal today to stay on Curb Records and Curb Publishing. He’s been on the label since his debut in 1996 with his self-titled album. Rodney has released four studio albums and eighteen singles on the label since then.
“Mike Curb encouraged me to learn about songwriting, how to write songs, how to go in and produce those songs…He allowed me to get in the studio and experiment and learn the process. Hats off to MIKE for really sticking with artist development for a long time — for believing in that.”
Rodney recently performed at the first annual Giving Back Awards, which will air December 10th at 8 pm EST on NBC. The Giving Back Awards will give five charities the chance to share $2 million grants from Chase Bank. How much each charity receives is completely up to fan voting on Chase’s Facebook page. Voting ends today for the charities, and the winner will get $1 million in a grant from Chase. The second place charity will receive $500,000 and the third place will get a $250,000 grant. The remaining two charities will each get $125,000 in grants from Chase Bank.
