Multi-platinum country artist Josh Turner will be releasing some new music in the new year! His debut single “Time Is Love” from his still-untitled fifth album on MCA. The single, co-written by Tom Shapiro, Tony Martin and Mark Nesler, will go for adds to radio on January 9th. The single will be available for purchase on iTunes tomorrow, December 20th.
“This song grabbed me from the first listen because it has such an infectious melody and lyrically it really tells a message that I have been wanting to say for a long time,” he says. “It’s not about quality time but quantity time and taking the time to get to know the person better and develop a relationship with that person.”
Josh, one of country music’s most consistent hit makers, has a knack for choosing some of country music’s hottest and most popular singles to record. “All Over Me,” the second single from his latest album “Haywire,” was awarded BMI’s 2011 “Song Of The Year” and was one of ASCAP’s “Top Five Most Played Songs Of 2011.” His previous single, “Why Don’t We Just Dance,” was a four-week number one single and the most-played song in 2010 according to Mediabase.
The South Carolina native has four number one singles under his belt – “Your Man,” “Would You Go With Me,” “Why Don’t We Just Dance,” and “All Over Me.” He’s sold over two million albums and has been nominated for two GRAMMY awards in the past, along with several nominations for the Academy of Country Music Awards, Country Music Association Awards, Country Music Television Awards, and the American Country Awards.
