George Strait Earns 4th Grammy Nominated Album In A Row
Nominations for the 54th annual GRAMMY awards were announced Wednesday night by the Recording Academy during the Grammy Nominations Concert special in Los Angeles. Country music superstar George Strait received a Grammy nomination for his latest album “Here For A Good Time” for Best Country Album. This is his fourth album in a row to be nominated for a Grammy award.
“Here For A Good Time” is George’s 39th studio album of his career. It became his eighth consecutive album to go number one on the Billboard charts on its debut, and also became the number one all-genre album on its release. The title track from the album is a co-write by George and his son Bubba Strait, with friend Dean Dillion, and became George’s 58th number one single of his career. It also became his first number one single as a songwriter, an accomplishment he proudly shares with his son.
George will hit the road with a new tour in the new year, kicking it off January 27th in Lafayette, Louisiana. His current touring plans include stops in Georgia, Florida, Arizona, Oklahoma, Nevada, Utah, and Kansas.
