Looks like NBC is going to go big with The Voice’s second season. Not only will the second season premiere right after the Superbowl next year, but they’ve also filmed an ad that will play during the Superbowl… with “Friday Night Lights” director Peter Berg. Blake Shelton, one of the coaches returning this season, stars in the ad, which, according to Entertainment Weekly, features the four coaches battling it out for the contestants. The 60-second ad’s battle scenes include martial arts, weapons, and dirty tricks to try to win over the contestant to their team when more than one coach turns around in their chair.
It should be interesting! A 30-second Superbowl ad usually costs around $3 million to air… and this one is double the length!
