Lady Antebellum Owns With Sixth Number One
Congratulations to Lady Antebellum this week. The country music powerhouse have just scored their sixth number one single with “We Owned The Night.” The reining ACM and CMA Vocal Group Of The Year had already spent three weeks at number one on the Canadian Billboard singles charts.
“This is our tour opener, and every night when we start into it, you can definitely feel the support that country radio has given this song. Everyone is ready for it, and the energy really helps get the night kicked off right and sets the tone,” says Charles Kelley. “It’s crazy to think we’ve had six No. one hits…we want to send out a big thank you to all ofour friends at country radio, our record label and our fans! We know these don’t come easy…it’s a big group effort!”
“We Owned The Night” is the second single off of the trio’s “Own The Night” album. The record has already been certified platinum by the RIAA. They’ll be honored as one of CMT’s Artists Of The Year next month.
Fans can be sure to catch the group on their headlining “Own The Night” tour, which was extended into the new year. The tour features special guests Darius Rucker and duo Thompson Square. For a full list of tour dates, visit LadyAntebellum.com.
