It was announced today that Keith Urban will be receiving surgery later this month to remove a polyp that has developed on his vocal chords.
Although the out-patient procedure is considered minor, it will demand the singer have complete vocal rest. After this, Keith will face an undetermined period of recuperation that will unfortunately require him to hold off on performing until he is healthy enough to do so. As such, his “All For The Hall” benefit concert, which was set to happen on January 18th in Nashville, will be postponed.
This news has caused Keith to cut back on any forthcoming appearances requiring multiple songs. However, Keith will still be performing next week at the CMA Awards with Brad Paisley and Vince Gill to pay tribute to Glen Campbell. He is also nominated for Entertainer of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year at this year’s show.
We wish Keith a speedy recovery and hope to see him performing, in time, when he is back to health!
