Gretchen Wilson is still mourning the loss of her Uncle Vern, who passed away suddenly from a heart attack back in September. He was 44. Gretchen shared the 260-acre ranch with her Uncle and her daughter, Grace, and she has decided that it’s too hard to live on the ranch without him.
In a statement to the Tennessean, Gretchen says:
“We just can’t be there without him,” Wilson says. “It’s not the same anymore, everywhere I look, I see him. I miss him.”
She hopes that whoever purchases the farm will enjoy it like her family did:
“It’s a great place for a tight family,” she says. “That was our dream, to live and work together there. The dream will have to live on for someone else now.”
