Carrie Underwood has just been announced as the first artist scheduled for the 2012 Country Music Association (CMA) Fest. The annual 4-day music festival takes place in Nashville, Tennessee June 7th through to the 10th at LP Field. The week is country music’s time to give back to fans, with the majority of major artists holding fan club parties during the week and autograph signings.
CMA CEO Steve Moore said:
“Normally we do not announce talent until February, but we wanted to be sure everyone knew that Carrie has already committed to perform at 2012 Cma Music Festival. She continues to be one of our most-requested artists, and we knew the fans would want to be aware so they could go ahead and make plans to attend our event.”
Carrie last performed at CMA Music Festival in 2010. Additional performers will be announced in the coming weeks. Tickets are on-sale for the festival, and fans can purchase tickets at Ticketmaster.com. Next year’s CMA Music Fest will once again be filmed for an ABC special later on in the year.
