Money aside, when it comes to vocal talent (which both these ladies came into the business off of) Kelly Clarkson KILLLLS Carrie Underwood hands down. Carrie is, what I like to call, a good “polished singer.” She has tone, pitch and range and she knows how to use her vocals well. But so does Kelly. And 10x better than Carrie. Kelly can sing ANY Carrie Underwood song and make it sound fresh, unique and BETTER, but Carrie will never be able to touch one of Kelly’s songs with a ten foot pole. Kelly’s voice is also a lot more rich, powerful and soulful than Underwood’s. Straight up! Sorry to any offended Carrie fans but there’s no denying the truth!

Motive??? Omg she liked the song and wanted to cover it… That’s usually how it works. This was the first show she’s performed since the iHeart Radio concert where she first heard the song so this is probably one of the most recent covers she’s worked on.

Kelly has a good voice. But she is sounding more like Jennifer Hudson than Kelly. It doesn’t sound like her usually.I do question however, if she is promoting her own album and new songs, why sing a cover that was performed a month ago by Carrie at IHeart where they both performed. What is the true motive? I know there are many songs to sing. Why this one??
